My son kept asking for a pirate ship for Christmas and this one met all the requirements! Easy to put together, sturdy, and so adorable. My 4 years old loves it!!

When it arrived, I freaked out because it was a box with a bunch of wooden parts and some bolts and screws and directions. After unpacking it on my dining room table i discovered it was relatively easy to put together, kind of like a puzzle. I’m a 62 year old gramma, and had no problem whatsoever you just need a Phillips head screwdriver. The pirate ship is incredibly cute, very sturdy and well-made. My four year old grandson is going to absolutely love it on Christmas morning!

We bought this for our 3 1/2 yr old for Christmas. Reviews are spot on. Takes about 30 minutes to assemble, feels daunting when you see all the parts, but is easy to put together. It’s large, has great accessories - love that the treasure chest and cannon lights up and makes noise. It’s also great that it opens to additional play. We got it on sale, which made it even more worth it. Would definitely recommend!

This is a great item. I’m really impressed with the quality of this ship. It’s actually wood not plastic. The treasure chest and cannons light up and make noise. The pirates are made of almost like rubber. It wasn’t hard to assemble. All the pieces of it at first are a little overwhelming but everything is labeled and me and my husband were able to assemble it in about 30 mins. I 💯 recommend this. My 5 year and twin 3 year olds have been playing with it for over a hour now!

My four year old grandson discovered this pirate ship at the local library and he loved playing with it, thus a Christmas present. While the ship comes completely unassembled, the instructions are easy enough to follow and is not very difficult to assemble if you take your time. Prior to purchasing this ship I noted that several Amazon reviewers commented on missing or broken pieces upon arrival. I asked previous purchasers if they experienced any difficulty in obtaining replacement parts for the missing or broken pieces, but after several days there were no responses. My order arrived with all pieces accounted for, but the ship's steering wheel had been broken in shipping. I followed the KidKraft instructions to remedy such a situation, entered the website provided, filled out the relevant information and submitted the request for a replacement part. Very happily four days later the new part was at my door. The ship seems sturdy enough and well made, customer service was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend this purchase to anyone interested.

Very darling pirate ship. Even though it is wood, it isn't that heavy which is great. This took my husband and I working together about an hour to assemble. I took off a star because there are two issues with the construction and the instructions. First, the small screws that hold the sails in place on the mast are not indicated on the instruction book, pretty easy to see where they go, though. Second is a bigger issue--the front upper deck is to be held in place using 4 "B" screws. These screws slide right in and can be seen through some random holes in the deck. And they fall right out. Now we need to somehow come up with four screws that are tight enough and the right length to hold the upper deck in place. Hopefully someone will have some ideas for us to try. Otherwise, it is darling and I know our 3.5 year old grandson will be wow'd Christmas morning.

It took me about 30 minutes to assemble this ship, the only complaint I have, is that the mast isn't the most secure. The flags that help hold it in place are a little loose. That being said, this thing is durable and high quality. I purchased this for my son, and he absolutely loves it. He plays with it a little bit each day, and although I probably purchased it a bit early (he is almost 2 years old at the time of this review) he loves pirates and pirate ships, so I didn't want to miss window to maximize his interest in the toy. I'm sure that he will have many years of enjoyment out of this, and there is even the potential for it be stored downstairs, (forgotten about) for a time, then we go dig it out of the basement and it's like a whole new experience as a 4 or 5 year-old. Either way, great, durable product well worth the small investment of assembly.

I bought a bunch of pirate stuff, extra pirates little figurines, big pirate ships, little ships, pirate patches and accessories for the kids and we had pirate day. The boys LOVED THE SHIP!! Well made, and perfect for 2 three year olds with some supervision. Fun! Fun!
