A convenient, cost-effective, smooth shave
I just wanted to show some appreciation for this razor, since I've been having such a good experience with it. I have tried several razors over the past 2 years and this one was surprisingly a standout over all of them. Why? It's convenient, affordable, and it gives me a smooth shave with minimal irritation. The good: + The shaver has a nice solid build. I really appreciate the grippiness of the rubber handle. I also noticed that my hand just wants to go to the sides of the razor where it's designed to be held. I have noticed with some other razors that my thumb often ends up on the power button and accidentally turns it off. This does not happen with this razor for me. + A quick, smooth shave: It only takes a couple of passes to get a decently close shave. I will say that I've had razors that cut closer than this, but that isn't necessarily a good thing. I get razor burn on my neck from electric razors, but this one has never given me razor burn, so that's a big plus for me for a smooth shave. Also, I have only gotten minimal ingrown hairs from this razor, which I can't say for a lot of others I have tried. + Convenient: This razor is fairly cheap. The replacement parts are fairly cheap. I have had other razors that are fairly high maintenance and require spending time cleaning with each shave. While I'm sure you *could* do a deep clean on this razor every time you use it, I have noticed that just shaking out the excess hairs from the guards seems to be enough without a huge hit on performance. So I would say it's easy to clean. I also appreciate that if I lost this razor on a trip that it would not be that expensive to replace, compared to some more pricey options. + Features: Perhaps the biggest thing I have noticed trying several different types of razors is that the cutter bar in the center seen on some razors (such as this one) is absolutely essential to a good clean shave. I have hairs that grow in several different directions on my neck that are really difficult to remove with some razors. What I have noticed is that razors that come with the cutter bar in the center of their foils tend to do a much better job of getting these hairs. I also like that this one comes with the built-in beard trimmer to get the hairs that get too long for the cutter bar. With this razor, I rarely get the random stray hairs on my neck that I have had at times from other razors. + Noise level: This razor is on the quieter end of electric razors I have tried. Not the quietest razor, but not noticeably loud. It's an electric razor -- it's going to make some noise when you use it. The bad: - It would be nice if the power cord came with one of those upright stands. I just think it would look nicer in the bathroom that way. - The power button doesn't really have a safety lock. It seems like it would be easy to accidentally turn it on while it's sitting in a bag. The plastic cover does also cover the button, but it seems like it would still be easy to accidentally press it even with the cover on. Overall, I would highly recommend this razor if you want something affordable that can also get a relatively smooth shave in a short amount of time. I appreciate *not* having to spend a lot of time in the bathroom shaving every morning, so I really appreciate this razor.

Fantastic shave at a great price
Since the days when I first started to shave, to now being 56 years old, I have always used a Norelco rotary razor. The 7340XL is the razor that I have been using for several years. I used to be happy with it when I was able to find/purchase the HQ9 SpeedXL blades for it. The triple track blades always did a great job. However, with those blades no longer being available, I have been forced to switch to the SH50 blades. In my opinion the performance with these blades has greatly dropped, and I am not getting as near of a close shave as I used to. It’s not the razor’s fault that the blades are not as good, but I finally decided to see what other razors the world has to offer. After researching on-line, and a huge tip of the cap to ShaverCheck, I decided to give foil razors a look as they appear to offer a closer shave than a rotary. After much debating, I finally settled on the Braun Series 3 ProSkin. Venturing into the foil realm for $60 seemed like a good place to start as compared to going all in and spending $250+ just to find out that I don’t like foil razors. I received the new razor and charged it up. I admit that I was a bit nervous to try it – would I be happy with it or did I just waste $60? And if I wasn’t happy with it would I be doomed to putting up with a lousy shave for the rest of my life. Well call me impressed. What an incredible upgrade as compared to what I was used to. A significantly closer shave with no skin irritation whatsoever, all while still being very easy to use. And for only $60, granted I did then purchase a travel kit and a replacement cassette to have on hand. The $25 cassette was a nice surprise as well as it costs less than the crappy SH50 rotary blades that I had been purchasing. Bottom line is that I should have made this switch years ago!

Solid budget shaver
I did quite a bit of research when I set out to find an electric razor that wouldn't break my bank, and this is the one that was on virtually every list. Now that I have it in hand and have used it for one week, I can see why. So why only 4 stars? Well, because it's relative. I've owned higher end razors, and quite frankly they're better. But you also pay about eighty to a hundred dollars more to climb to that tier. For the price I suspect that this will do for most men. Unless you're a male model or a Fortune 500 power exec, I suspect that you just wanna get your shave game down to "good enough", and this is. It's fairly quiet, charges quickly, is easy to clean and store. I recommend not waiting more than one day in between shaves, as its effectiveness declines greatly after 48 hrs of beard growth. In short; for the average student or work-a-day guy, this is probably an ideal electric razor.

Excellent shaver for the money
This Braun shaver replaced an older Panasonic foil model I've used for a very long time. The Braun 3 series is easier on my skin and also takes less passes than my old Panasonic to complete a shave. I do prefer the Panasonic in that it let you fully clean the blades of the shaver, whereas the Braun has an enclosed cartridge that contains the blades in it. I would definitely still recommend this shaver as it is a good value and works well.

Easy to use!
Great electric razor. Previously used a Phillips one blade and decided to try this one instead of ordering more blades. This razor gets a MUCH closer shave which was my only downside with the one blade even when I replaced the razor cartridge. It’s super easy to use once you figure out how much pressure to apply and the speed needed.

Little technique & wet shaving results this much result within 5-6 minutes. Now if your wrist can act like pivoting head to follow the contours of your face then this is the perfect shaver. Also sensitive skin with dry shave can lead to read marks but why use dry if we can finish within 5 minutes with foam or gel. Just wash it with a hot water while shaver is on & it will clean itself perfectly. Super easy!!! As no one can guess that whether you used saftey razor or this shaver. It's completely value for money. I become a fan of Braun with its cheapest line of shaver series. No doubt this is the no 1 brand in the world for electric foil shavers.

Já tinha um igual, comprei o mesmo modelo e realmente é um aparelho excelente para um barbear rente e perfeito seja a seco ou molhado. O aparador de costeletas também é ótimo e completa o serviço. A carga dura quase 2 semanas. 100% satisfeito.

For it's price, it gets the job done. I have a series 9 Braun shaver too. If you can afford it, get the series 9 version. It gives a much smoother, closer and comfortable shave. However, it is not fair to compare both because of their huge price difference. I got the Series 3 because it almost like the series 5 and 6. It is functional and looks like it is built to last. I use it for travel so my expensive kit stays at home.
