Great boooke.

I have seen the exposition of Michelangelo at the Netherlands and this book gives me a good overview of Michelangelo's masterworks, and not only his paintings, most of them shown at the exposition.I have been looking for a while for some good documentation/information on drawings by the old or new masters, and this book fits my needs perfectly.I cannot judge this book for customers who haven't seen the exposition or who are purely looking for a collection of Michelangelo's works.

This is >> a must<< for any follower of MichelAngelo art; an incredible insight into the work and art, and history of the most important for drawing era. Very informative, excellent resource for learning or just for art lovers-to pleasure their eyes and souls. Large number of illustrations, and extremely well written will make this read a wonderful experience.If you ever considered spending money for book, this is the one!

THIS BOOK WAS A GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT BECAUSE OF THE TINY REPRODUCTIONS OF MICHELANGELO,S DRAWINGS THE TEXT OVER WHELMS THE DRAWINGS .THE SMALL SIZE OF THE REPRODUCTIONS APART FROM ABOUT TEN MAKES ONE FURTHER FROM THE MASTER RATHER THAN CLOSER.-. TO HIM.THE COLOUR REPRODUCTION IS NOT FAITHFUL TO THE ORIGINALS EITHER .BUY ACHIM GHANNS DRAWINGS OF A GENIUS INSTEAD A LOVELY BIG BOOK OF MICHELANGELOS DRAWINGS WITH FULL PAGE REPRODUCTIONS INSTEADT CHAPMANS BOOK WAS £40 IN HARDBACK BUT CAN NOW BE HAD FOR LESS THAN £6.I AM NOT SURPRISED.
