If you don't know about the Annunaki (Those who from Heaven to Earth came) then you don't really know about human history. Ms. Lynn does a good introduction. The Anunnaki Connection by Heather Lynn
My impression on reading this book is that Dr. Heather Lynn is not your typical author who writes about Anunnaki nor is she your typical archeologist. She is willing to address unconventional theories like ancient astronauts, pre-flood civilizations, and shamanistic communing with spirits. And at the same time, she can apparently actually read Sumerian Cuneiform and came up through an academic background. This is an interesting mix. One thing that Dr Lynn prescribes is "do your own research". Dr Lynn summarizes various theories on the Sumerian Anunnaki from "Ancient Astronauts" to "Worlds in Collision" (Velikovsky) to current mainstream archeology and her own theories. Not to say that Dr Lynn resolves these differences in this book, but she does do a good job of presenting the theories. And perhaps most importantly emphasizes that we should not blindly follow anyone but should instead try to understand for ourselves. If I might summarize what was to me the most interesting aspect of the book: It is that the Anunnaki were mortal, probably human and possibly descended from a civilization destroyed by some physical calamity. The other interesting theory is that these individuals were able to contact advanced beings spiritually who revealed technological and cultural advances that could be passed to the Anunnaki who then passed the knowhow to local kings and leaders. Interestingly enough, this shamanic communication is still ongoing today in some quarters - Sometimes among those you might least likely expect. Another interesting point in the book for me was a version of panspermia in which DNA came to earth not just in the beginning of life, but at other times when it might have used viral insertions to modify and control the direction of evolution. Likewise culture and civilization might have exploded when early humans discovered ways to communicate through shamans and others to other beings who might live either in other star systems or in another dimension or even time line. It is an intriguing book. I can't say it resolved many of my questions about this subject, but it gave me some interesting things to consider.

Incredible!
Unbelievable, an interesting and beautiful mind with lots to learn, you can tell through this book hands down. Great references to other authors, the amount attention she can grab with such a pallet of information all at once can be overwhelming and make you just dig down deeper and feel in interested for more. One of my favorites I've read in a long time. Book of enoch has sent me on a journey and this gave me the horse and a map to it back in time with a heading. Absolutely love it. And in love with it all. Will follow!

Engaged
I really like how Heather writes her analysis. She gives an overview of all the different sources that feed Into these ideas, I don’t feel like I’m being drawn into a black hole and not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel like I do some of this material about the annunaki.

fact is stranger than fiction
Anyway you take this book, at face value or as fiction, nonetheless a great read and thought provoking. Do you take the blue pill and all is right with the world and you know what is right and wrong and who are the good guys and the bad guys, or do you take the red pill and see how deep the the rabbit hole goes?
