Sweden makes a beautiful budget knife
Mora knives are simple, light, well made, and affordable. They're not made for bushcraft. If you're regular fish or camp, this will definitely work for you. I would never buy a Chinese knife for anything when a Swedish made Mora knife is just a couple dollars more. If you are living in Alaska you will want the ultimate knife. ($200 -$500) For 90% of us, the $20 Mora will work great and last a lifetime.

Simple and high quality
A nice Morakniv model for boating/crabbing use due to the serrated edge. I like that Moras have a stick tang that extends far into the handle for increased durability. Sheath could be less bulky, but it works just fine.

Good quality very sharp it’s a Moraknive
This is a great fishing knife for cutting up bait very sturdy, very sharp and when you catch it on sale it’s a hell of a deal! I won’t hesitate to buy another one

I think it makes more sense to have a marine knife that is brightly colored and easy to find if dropped
This is my first of sure to be a few Moraknivs. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish it had a hole through the end of the handle to secure it with a short cord to the sheath or my belt. I wanted a stainless steel, brightly colored knife for cutting lines and other tasks while sailing and fishing in salt water. The Morakniv Marine Rescue is the only knife that does have a hole in the handle, but the knife tip is blunt and it does not come in a bright color. I think it makes more sense to have a marine knife that is brightly colored and easy to find if dropped. About the knife itself: it is extremely well-built, light and _very_ sharp. Do not use your finger to test the sharpness of any Morakniv. I was stupid and lightly ran my finger tip along the serrated edge of the blade, thinking it would not cut the skin. It made a deceptively painless, but deep and wide cut which opened and bled more than a narrow razor cut would have. Again, do not use your finger to test the blade. It is a tool made for cutting. Treat it with care and respect.

Great Ocean Fishing Knife
This knife is awesome. I use it exclusively on the ocean although I do know people that use it hunting. The serrated section makes this knife perfect for cutting gills. The knife is constantly getting salt water on it, an have never had one get rusty. We do wash everything on the boat down after every trip due the amount of water we take busting through waves. I like the orange handle because it's easy to see and hard to lose. After testing it out for one ocean fishing season I bought four more. It's hard to find products that can withstand that environment, and a lot of products that say they can but just don't.

Excellent simple fixed blade all-round utility knife for the garden/farm
The Morakniv Companion Serrated Knife is an outstanding fixed blade knife for the vegetable garden and around the farm. The stainless steel constructions make it ideal for wet/muddy/dirty work. The supplied orange sheath (not leather) and knife handle makes it easy to find in the dirt/garden (trust me - this is a key feature). This knife is well constructed, simple/comfortable design and light weight. Most importantly the price on Amazon.com at $21 is a good value. I typically do NOT use serrated knife blades for utility - they are difficult to sharpen and take a lot of time to maintain. However I needed a simple knife for many farm tasks... cutting twine, rope, thin wire/ties, tape, zip ties etc. Also for cutting/trimming plant suckers, trimming shoots and harvesting fruits/vegetables. This serrated blade is simply a better cutting/sawing tool across many different materials than my smooth bladed EDC folding knife. This Morakniv Knife has performed exceptionally well over the last few weeks of use on the farm and in the garden. I keep this knife handy in my garden tool bucket and it is easily accessible and ready to use. Carrying on a belt in the supplied orange sheath works too if I am taking it out into the vineyard. So glad I got it - very nice addition to the garden tool bucket. Highly recommended for an all-around farm/garden fixed blade utility knife.

Questionable quality in saltwater
These began to show rust along the spine of the knife after two days of use st the beach. Scrubbed it clean and it’s doing ok so far but I am disappointed they didn’t hold up better. Cuts through bait and scales very easily on the serration. Point is sharp enough to quickly dispatch a fish for a humane harvest.

This is a really great cockpit knife for a sailing boat. It can easily be lashed to the binnacle in reach from the helm and from behind the helm. It's easy to see with its bright colour, easy to draw, it's very sharp and has a comfortable and safe grip. And the price was fantastic. Highly recommended!
