Best yoga mat for my knee replacement
I don't normally write reviews but this time I really have to share. This mat is absolutely the best mat I've ever tried for yoga because it's non stick, doesn't shift around, and the cushioning is just right for my knee that I had a knee replacement on 4 months ago. I can get rid of my other 2 mats now because this one does it all and I will buy again in the future.

Great mat for a great price!
I love this mat! It is so comfortable and soft, but I still feel stable and balanced on it. It is about 1.5 inches wider than most standard mats, which I appreciate, being a bigger person. I just did a half hour vinyasa practice on it and did not have any issues with slipping. It has a tiny bit of odor just out of the package, but it didn't bother me and I expect the smell will dissipate. I just received the mat today and yes, the ends are curled a bit, but it has been rolled up in plastic for who knows how long, so a little curling is to be expected. I'm just going to roll it in the opposite direction and see if that helps. I really like this mat and I am very glad I bought it.**update** Curling the mat in the opposite direction overnight did the trick. The mat now lies flat.

I could tell the quality of the material seems to be quite good. I have always preferred a thinner mat
As someone who has used a $10 yoga mat from Target for the last 3 years, this is a vast improvement without spending crazy amounts of money for an exercise mat! I do not consider myself a yogi, but do practice yoga 3-5 days a week at home. I do a lot of more intensive Vinyasa practices (lots of down dogs, chaturangas with jump-backs and balancing after working up a sweat). When I first opened it up, I could tell the quality of the material seems to be quite good. I have always preferred a thinner mat, and I am sure most would find my old mat uncomfortably thin, so I was concerned this mat would be too thick. Even on carpeting, this mat does not feel too thick to me, yet it provides nice cushioning that I think would be sufficient for most (haven't tried it on hard floor, but again, compared to my old mat I know I would be fine with it). I would not call this a non-slip mat. I sometimes struggle with my hands slipping on this mat but not always and not as bad as some other mats I have used. I could see someone having difficulty during a hot yoga class, but haven't tried misting it with water before use which works for some. One other aspect I am unsure about is that it seems to stretch a bit in areas that receive a lot of pressure. For example, where my feet are during down dog has stretched slightly. There was a small amount of smell when I first opened it but nothing extreme and I didn't notice it after letting it air out.I spent a lot of time reading reviews and looking for a decent yoga mat that wasn't a fortune and supposedly wasn't made out of materials that are terrible for your health or the environment.Overall I am happy with this purchase, I think for the price it seems to be good quality and has been an improvement to my regular practice

Best mat ever
First, im a yoga instructor-a pregnant yoga instructor-and have become very particular about my mat. It takes me FOREVER to decide on one and actually pull the trigger in buying one. This one was tough because of the reviews mentioning slipping since I’m preggo, but I was drawn in by the positive reviews and the fact that it’s free of chemicals. I could not be happier with this mat and the service from Clever Yoga. I want to work for them! Lol they immediately emailed and let me know they were there if I had any questions and gave me tips for making the mat less prone to slipping (not needed as I don’t practice bikram and can’t really get sweaty due to my baby belly), but I appreciated it none the less. I got a follow up email once it arrived making sure everything was good. It (the mat and the customer service) exceeded any expectations I had! I do not slip AT ALL, it’s the perfect density and thickness, seems durable, and does not have any hint of a scent straight out of the package. I’m so thankful for such a great product and will probably buy this mat in every color just because. If you’re questioning buying this just stop and click “buy now”. You won’t be sorry.

Great Yoga/Workout Mat for the Price
I really like this mat -- I just bought my second one. My only real complaint is that the company doesn't offer darker-shade colors like hunter green or dark purple. I have used this mat for yoga stretches and for working out, and it stays in place really well. It's also really comfortable -- it's definitely much more comfortable and much thicker than the typical community yoga mats that gyms use for group classes. The only slight (athestic) issue is that the ends role just a little -- but, from what I've read, that's to be expected at this price range. (I've never used a $100 yoga mat, so I have no idea how they compare.) I just change the end/side I use each time that I role up the mat, and the little bump at the end is barely noticeable. Plus, the lotus print that covers the mat is a really nice, subtle detail.

A good starter mat, but does break down over time
This mat was a good starter mat for me to use while figuring out how much I would be practicing and what kind of yoga I liked best. Good density, nice color selection, and a great value. However, almost 10 months in I am finding that this mat has begun to stretch out and compress. Whereas before I found it a good solid base for most poses, now I find myself wobbling or having to move around to find a place that is even. Downward dog has become difficult as the mat slips and bunches around my hands and feet. I've also not found that the mat repels moisture, mine has all kinds of dark marks all over it from sweat that don't remove with cleaning. All in all this was a good purchase and I would recommend this mat to the casual yoga participant for long term use, or a frequent yoga participant for getting an idea of what you're looking for in a mat.
