It seemed fine for a while, but then this battery died. It could be my Macbook. I don't really use it that much. ??

My laptop was 10 years old and the battery was dead. I bought a new laptop but still not happy when I saw a laptop being dead and resides in a corner. I thought to give a try on battery with less price as I am not going to use but can give someone who can use it. I got this replacement battery from amazon and it is bit easy to install after going thru a YouTube video. I had gone thru few apple articles on replacement battery and most of them recommend to use iFixit battery which is costly to me. Anyway I had a big fear when time comes to turn on the laptop. Fear because of less cost and due that it may burst or something could happen. But thank god, nothing like this happens. I put on charge whole night and started using on battery next day. It holds charge for approximately 4 to 5 hours on normal usage. This is enough for me. THANKS TO THE SELLER. GOOD JOB.

I needed to sell my wife's old mid-2012 MacBook Pro after I got her a new computer for xmas, and the battery was swollen. I purchased this battery because it was the cheapest and it worked, but I would be wary of it swelling or not lasting long. I admit that this computer was never used as a portable but was always hooked up to monitor, keyboard, mouse (clamshell mode) and the battery was constantly being charged. I don't think this is a good idea for cheap batteries in the future. I had to drill out more than half of the screws holding the back cover of the computer to get at the grossly swollen bad cheap battery. I warned my buyer that I had put a cheap battery in and to keep an eye on it. You get what you pay for, but if you buy sometimes, you get what you need...thanks & sorry Mick...

Battery was an easy install and overall battery life is greatly improved over the stock, 10 year old battery. This one was marginally oversized making it a somewhat tight fit compared to the stock battery but it installed with no issues. only have a few cycles on it to calibrate it but for the money it is well worth it.

Upgraded an old 2011 that still works. Battery got fried and not with pay $130 for Apples battery and then god knows how much they would charge you for installation. - Love/hate with Apple for that reason.The packaging made it seem more legit as the cardboard was specifically made to fit the battery like a glove.Easy installation, battery was a perfect fit in an old 2011 model MacBook Pro.- Seller includes the needed tiny a$$ stupid Apple screws that are the smallest philips screws you have ever seen.Also included the not so popular tri wing anti tamper screws which are crucial for getting the battery out. Otherwise you would most likely damage something. The fact that they include these is 2 stars alone, even if the battery sucked.As of now it appears the battery actually has decent life. Not nearly as good as new original battery but for less than $30 I think it’s solid. I have heard horror stories on $90 “legit” replacement batteries so I figured why not try this out. Can always return to Amazon.I’d say can last 4-6 hours with light usage, browsing, word/excel. Additionally on standby/sleep mode the battery lasted 6 days, which was basically on par with the original battery.Randomly saw some company messages from seller and it appears they actually might produce decent batteries for an affordable price. Only time will tell because, as always, half the stuff coming out of China is absolute junk and you never really know what you will get.If this battery lasts then def 5 stars. Hopefully I can just get 2-3 decent years from it. If so would definitely purchase again. If it dies soon I’ll change this review to 2 stars solely for the the mini screwdriver set included

I put this in my mid-2012 MacBook Pro. My previous battery, not even a year old, was crashing my computer randomly. I replaced that battery with this one and have not had any issues since. The battery life of the new battery is less than 6 hours, so that's not great. But it cleared up my problem and I'm happy with it.

Worked well until almost exactly 1 year later, now it will not charge or hold and charge.
