Limited CPU selection, limited heatsink selection
I purchased this to play around with a Ryzen 3 1200 that I picked up essentially for free. This motherboard seems like a decent deal for a low power home server, AM4 socket, 4x RAM slots, and plenty of PCIE slots for the size. Depending on the model of motherboard, it may only support up to an A10 APU, as HP put out two different versions of this motherboard. However you'll need to buy a 10-15 dollar ATX to 6 pin adapter, and you'll need a clip on heatsink if you don't have one already. The clip ring that came with my motherboard will fit one of the heatsinks I have on hand, but that was pure luck. The ring is too small for a clip on Wraith that comes with a Ryzen 7, and the cheapest clip on heat sink that I found online was another 14 dollars. So to get it running you are looking at 50 dollars for motherboard, heatsink, and ATX adapter, which puts the cost really close to just getting a refurbished B450 ATX motherboard. If you know what you are getting into, it can be a decent buy depending on your use case, but otherwise stay away. I'm still waiting for the ATX adapter to get here to see if the one I have will even post with a first gen Ryzen.
