Great pen for pilots!
My son is a pilot and he wanted this pen so he could fill out his logbook. My husband purchased it for him in preparation for flight school. It's his "flight pen" and he always has it in his flight bag and hands it out to his CFI whenever he needs them to fill out his logbook. Such a great pen! Would recommend to any pilot or anyone who needs to write small! Not to mention it is really smooth for a 2.8mm with a very consistent ink flow.

Very precise
I use this in the science lab i work in where I try and get as much information on each page of my notbook. This works excellent and I am able to fully utelize my expensive lab notebooks rather than having a bunch of wated space. It write smooth and tiny, but put out plenty of ink.

Great pen, but not for every day use
I bought one of these after seeing it mentioned on a pen review site. I've been a happy user of Uni's Jetstream pens for years and was intrigued by the idea of trying a fine-point version. Since getting my hands on it I've been using it quite a bit and I can say that for my own usage, it's not going to replace my Jetstreams. The fine point tip makes lovely precise lines, but it just doesn't flow as smoothly as the larger pen tip. If you're looking for a fine point pen for precise detail work and are a fan of Uni's rollerball pens then you will assuredly like the edge. The physical styling of the pen is somewhat dramatic compared to others I've used. I imagine this could be a divisive point. I like how it looks and feels, but it may not be to everyone's taste.

Great depending on paper
Here I am reviewing a pen on Amazon. The places COVID quarantine life takes you.Pen feels robust and is nice to look at. Obviously a 'homage' to the Rotring, but of lighter material and not balanced. It is bottom heavy and the design makes it so that I've already repeatedly mistaken the top for bottom and bottom for top when I go to pick it up.The click mechanism has a cheap plastic rattle and the plunger wobbles. Man I am really nitpicking. It is an oil-based ballpoint pen and depending heavily on the paper it writes beautifully putting down full-bodied creamy lines. It works wonderfully in my MoleSkine Cahier notebooks, but fails shamelessly on some other papers. Compared to my gel ink Signo 0.28 pen, this pen is a lot more paper-selective. That said, this pen excels on more surface-porous papers (if that's the right description) where the Signo gel ink would start bleeding with slower strokes. The grip / barrel is smooth and while being bottom heavy helps, it requires more force to grip and my weak little hands are more prone to cramping when using this pen to write or draw for ants--as one does with 0.28 pens. For a roughly $12 pen, it is slightly disappointing in it's difficulty to hold and use, the tiny refill, and its selectivity when it comes to papers. But it looks amazing, the finish on mine is flawless, and on the right paper it writes quite nicely--also, the 0.28 tip is a treat for those looking for fine pens for detail sketches or small notes. I'd buy again, despite complaining about it for several paragraphs.

Nice small tip
My sister really likes this pen with the .28mm point. She likes the very small tip and writes very small in a teeny little book.

Fine Time
This pen is a bona fide fine writing instrument. It's quite possibly one of the best, if not THE BEST, ballpoint pens I have ever used. TUL is really good, Uni JetStream 0.28mm is leaps ahead in quality. The fine lines this pen creates is borderline Japanese F and EF fountain pen nib. I was worried that the writing experience would be toothy and with a lotta feedback, but it is smoOoOo00oth. I loved it so much, I bought the three other pens and refills in black, blue, and red. I plan on using these for years to come.I highly recommend this pen for people who have small writing or need a writing instrument that can create fine lines - without skipping!

Too inconsistent
I really want to like this pen, but writing with it is just too finicky. The pen feels great and I like it when it works, but half the time I try to use it, it doesn’t want to write and just scratches. The ink is also not a deep/dark as other pens in similar sizes.

Great pen, fine line, good style and balance for me.
I used to use the Itoya K420 series in blue, including some from the Itoya Toyko store. They are no longer made or refillable and this is my new daily use pen. Also takes wider refills such as the SXR-80-05. Note that any pen with such a small ball may feel "scratchy" when writing if you have a heavy hand.Balance point of this pen is just above the grip section, which is unusually low, due to the aluminum grip and plastic upper. I like that, YMMV. If you want something with a high balance point and smooth writing, you might look at a Ohto Rays, which is similar to a Jotter in style and balance.
