While I could say something negative of this product, I will not. I am going to state the facts and let you come to your own decision on this product as to if it meets your expectations. First, I feel the apples are of desirable tartness and taste, yet completely void of moisture compared to other dehydrated apple products available. As such they do have toughness in their texture and palatability, that might be more suited to long term storage and cooking rather than as a first choice snack food you might consider. However, by cost and value, because they are considerably less moist, you get about a third more product by volume verses weight. That’s right; you get more apples for the cost per pound than what’s available from other suppliers. At the moment my mind isn’t made up one way or the other, while I prefer a moister product, I am using the four pounds I bought as a snack food for daily use and I am getting used to it. My thoughts on this are that other suppliers have doubled their prices in recent months, while this supplier is rather new on Amazon, let’s wait and see what they do! Would I buy them again? Yes, I will be!

These were fantastic! The flavor is great! The only negative I found was for about half of the dried apple slices centers, where core is removed, is relatively hard. So for biting into them or tearing into pieces, that made them a bit difficult to eat.

It's been a while since I've had dried apples, so it's hard to compare, but I think these are wonderful snacks. These apples are maybe a little drier and chewier than some other brands of dried fruit, but I didn't mind it at all. It probably stores and ships better with less moisture.All the apples pieces are nice and consistent- a nice sharp bite with sweetness. If you like dried mangos, you will probably like these as well. Dried granny smith apples are also better for you- more good cholesterol lowering fiber and less calories than other dried fruit. I'm sad they're out of stock right now as it might be a while before I can get any more.

These apple slices are over dried and resemble shoe leather more than dried apple slices. The majority also have large parts of the core. I tried to bite one slice and couldn't, so I soaked it in water for an hour and it was a little better, but a lot of the taste was gone. Please save your money on purchasing another brand. I'm throwing away the whole bag and ordering another brand.

Great flavor, but way too hard.

I thought they are great. I was initially a bit worried that they might be a bit too tart, but that's not so. The flavor is mild but grand. They are sweet enough so that you don't even think that adding sugar/sweetener would be an improvement. I also thought that if a person wanted an instant apple pie, you could brush the slices lightly with melted butter and sprinkle them lightly with a combination of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Fabulous treats and healthy too! These dried Granny Smith apple slices are absolutely delicious. Refreshing and flavorful, these bring munching to a whole new level. Excellent texture, bursting with flavor, are you really great treat for any time of day or evening

I go back and forth on how many stars to give these apple rings. They are so tough! If you’re buying them to snack on, as is, I wouldn’t suggest them. Unless you are looking for a vegan jerky substitute. They are definitely as tough as jerky, if not more. If you’re buying them to re-hydrate and bake or cook with, I think they’d be great for that, especially for the price. I really appreciate that they are unsulphered, too. A lot of the rings have part of the core left on them. I find all the rings I’ve tried from various brands have a small percentage of pieces that still have some core left on them, so it’s not a huge deal- just seems like these have more than normal.
