Top Hat is Top quality Tonic
A few months ago we purchased a sodastream and the push was on to find a tonic syrup that could be enjoyed daily. After my different brands this is my go to for making homemade tonic water. I drink several glasses each night without using it as a mixer. I just love tonic. But, not all tonic tastes good. Top Hat tastes great, is saving me money from buying pre-mixed tonic in plastic or glass bottles at the local store. It is a refreshing drink with a slight citrus flavor. The ingredient list is: Natural Quinine, Pure Cane Sugar, Zeus Hop, Cinchona Bark, Darjeeling Tea, Grapefruit Peel, Chamomile, Gum Arabic, Citric Acid, Vitamin C & Sodium Benzoate. Can you believe you can read all of the ingredients! No corn syrup or strange chemicals to worry about.I have purchased this pack of 2Top Hat East India Quinine Tonic Syrups over 10 times, and while I continue to try other brands, this is my favorite by far. Clean crisp flavor that makes drinking tonic delicious

Tastes good
The tonic water I made with this product and my SodaStream system tastes very good.I plan to keep it on hand rather than buying tonic water in the future. May not be less expensive then the store bought tonic, but you can make to the strength you prefer in quantities needed so it doesn’t go flat before finishing bottle. It has a very nice flavor.

Good tonic water
I use this concentrate to make tonic water in my soda machine. I like it little expensive, but I like it.

Better than buying a lot of cans!
If you like gin and tonic (or anything and tonic) and have a sodastream (or similar) then this is very good. A syrup you add to fizzy water to make tonic - and it really does work. You can mix the cocktail in the glass - put the tonic in, put in a bit of this, add fizzy water over the top. It's a good way of having tonic without having to have a lot of bottles or cans in the fridge - which always becomes a hassle because you have store them and pay the deposit and then take them back etc. etc. Very good indeed. Loses one star because the flavor is not as good as a premium brand of tonic - but it is MUCH cheaper and MUCH more convenient. This is a great "everyday" tonic - for a party or something, maybe get cans of your favorite. But to keep in the fridge to augment your bar setup? Excellent.

So good and no unhealthy sweeteners
I buy this all the time—enjoy it almost every day. Very nice flavor, and yay!! No aspartame, sucrolose, sugar, or other harmful, artificial or glucose-raising sweeteners.

Wanted to like it. Isn’t terrible, but know what you are getting.
The ginger beer concentrate is...interesting. Monk fruit doesn’t seem to make a very good sweetener for this application. I mean, mixed with other things it may be masked, but straight up I don’t like it much. That said, adding a bit of my own sweetener helps dramatically. I added some some Splenda and while the off flavors from the monk fruit are still present, it becomes much more tolerable. If you are getting this to add to other sweet things, you should be fine, but if you are getting this for a soda stream or to make mules, just be aware you will probably want to add some of your own sweetener to it, and even then it is going to taste off.It is a bit time consuming, but simply boiling a pound of ginger root in 2.5 cups of water and adding the equivalent of 2 cups of sugar will yield a better syrup than this. Peeling ginger root with a spoon is pretty time consuming though, so I totally get why someone would want this - heck, that’s why I gave it a shot. Ginger root is cheapest at local Asian markets, so if you are willing to take the time to peel it, that is your best option.

Must be an acquired taste 🤔
Personally, Top Hat’s Elderflower & Quinine (sugar free) is my favourite. I mix it with limoncello fizzy water for a refreshing afternoon drink. But! I’m prone to buy a four-pack of sugar free quinine water & drink it chilled/neat. No gin necessary 🤭

Terrible Taste
We drink a lot of sugar free ginger beer, have tried multiple brands with great success. This product however tastes terrible and it's not returnable even unopened bottles.
