the stories are true, this thing is an absolute champ
yesterday i was reading the reviews with glee and hope, hearing other people's success stories. our neighbor had a clog the other day and asked if my toilet was fine - yes! it was fine! but a few days later? clogged! we share an apartment building pipe so i wonder if, when the workers cleared her clog, whatever the obstruction was, went to our area and affected the toilet. we have a toilet from probably 1979. when the problem started, when we flushed, first the water didnt go down at all. then after using 2 different snakes (which made ugly marks on the bottom of the toilet), plunging with the wrong kind of plunger (the accordion one for the sink, it doesnt have the bottom part that sticks out as toilet plungers do, i later learned - great for sinks but cant form the right powerful enough seal with the toilet), and also hot water and dish soap, our water would go down, but painfully, worryingly slowly, with barely any force or pressure, and would make a glug glug glug sound when it went to the bottom. i asked ai if this sound was significant and she said it means it's a partial clog. if it were a full clog, the water wouldn't have gone down at all. still i was worried to use the bathroom. again we tried the hot water and dish soap trick, we tried what turned out to be the sink plunger (some tp did come out the first time, btw), again we tried 2 different snakes. i had thrown away my old crappy toilet plunger years ago- - i dont think i realized that toilet plungers could be good or bad, i always just thought, the very rare times the toilet got clogged, that the problem must be 'too big of a clog" for a plunger to handle. then i read the reviews here and made the decision to buy 25 bucks worth of stuff so this could come between 4-8 am the next morning. i didnt want to have to panic when i eventually would go #2 in the morning. i was worried all night but hopeful from all the positive reviews. i used it once, not much happened (actually there was splash back, which i now realize probably means there wasnt a tight enough seal because of the way i put it in. i remembered reading a review for this item where another guy said there was no splashing and now i think it was a sign i put it in wrong), i flushed to test and it was better but not excellent, so i did it again- a few pumps, this time no splash back and BOOM it's flushing like a champ! btw nothing came back out, it's not like a toy tonka truck materialized, nor waste, nor paper, just fresh water. im guessing this just pushed whatever was stuck through the pipe. i cannot tell you the relief i feel. btw, i thought the handle would be taller - it turns out i thought this only bc it came already fully extended and if we would want to, we could make it shorter. i think i initially thoughts of it as smaller was a brain trick, because it came extended already, which ive never exprienced before (usuall things come on the smaller setting), so i assumed it was on the smallest setting and my brain was viewing it as "this will get much taller" -- but it's plenty tall enough (my hsband and i are both tall) i just made it smaller for storage, to keep it next to the toilet. it is the perfect size. and i absolutely love the T design on top, so you can get a good grip with both hands. how flipping thoughtful!!! kudos to the designer. i rushed to write a review to add to the chorus of 'the reviews are true.' because the reviews gave me such hope and now i'm here to add to the stories. i had seen ads for electric plungers and thought if this didnt work, i'd try one of those but no need - the buck stops here, this works, and it works FAST and easily - no other parts needed. i went from mildly panicking for over a day about using the bathroom -->literally seconds using this --> feeling free again, huge problem eliminated.

Best Plunger I have ever encountered.
As a career plumber for 35 years, can attest to the fact that this is a good product. Best Plunger I have ever encountered. Reasonably priced, telescoping handle for easy storage, and highly effective.

Hold off on calling the plumber until you try this!
Say “goodbye!” to your cheap, flimsy plunger, and try the Korky BeehiveMAX before spending hundreds of dollars with a plumber! This plunger solved my couple day problem in less than 5 minutes and with very little effort. The plunging part is exceptional… my only complaint is that the handle/stick is wobbly and doesn’t feel sturdy. Nonetheless, it is still a 5 star product and saved me from calling a plumber!

Out performed my 7 year-old reliable heavy duty plunger!
So… my youngest has GI “opportunities” and despite me pleading to “courtesy flush” without toilet paper, it never happens and I have to deal with what seems like a cannon ball with wadding. No joke, I spent 40 min trying to unplug the toilet last night. I was sweating and the palm of my hand was forming a blister. I gave up, and went to bed. While in bed, I researched multiple plungers on different web sites, brands and read quite a few reviews. I was excited about this plunger because it would arrive over night. I tried the new plunger first thing next morning. Attempt #1, 30-45s… unsuccessful. I was upset at all the 5 star reviewers!!!! Cursing their reviews in my mind! Gave it another try and…. hallelujah! I had it unclogged after my second attempt! Waiting overnight may have helped too, but I was super excited not to have to call a plumber. Downsides: the handle has an option to modify the length, probably for storage. I don’t like this option. The handle feels cheap and it would be awesome product if it had a solid longer handle. I don’t want to hide my plunger. I really don’t want it in a cabinet. IMHO, it’s overpriced but I am grateful for the product and the fact that it really works much better than a traditional heavy duty plunger. Feels much cheaper, but works better.

Lives up to the hype
I've been an Amazon customer since 1999 or so when they mostly sold books, & am so impressed that I'm leaving what I think is my 1st product review. I had a stubborn toilet clog that a similar style plunger that's always worked couldn't clear. I used this Korky plunger right after receiving it, & the water level went down in the toilet. But when I flushed the water level rose again. I tried plunging again, & got the same result. On the 3rd try the toilet clog completely cleared. I'm very impressed w/ this plunger, & will be throwing away the old one that had always worked until now. I'd never even heard of the Korky brand until now, but they've just gained a loyal customer. It's so nice when products work well, & do what they're supposed to do.

Plunger of Destiny
I remember the day that I first wielded this weapon of unparalleled clog-busting power. Mountains shook, and the sky sang with a chorus of golden glory. My porcelain adversary stood before me with a thinly veiled air of fear as it recognized the tool of its undoing within my grasp. As we came to blows, it was obvious our match was entirely one-sided; and although my opponent put up a rousing defense, it could not withstand the staggering might of the blade of destiny in my hands. As the dust settled, I stood before the freely flowing commode knowing that this was only the first of many battles for supremacy of my bathroom. However, with this plunger at my side, victory is all but assured for each one.
