A good set of Filipino folklore
For some reason I expected this to be in Filipino, but the stories are in English. I don't mind it as much. The stories remind me of my elementary school days in the Philippines. The stories are true to the Filipino heritage and culture. Some are brutal and a little morbid, while others are loaded with strong moral values. I love the art work.

Fun journey to another land's tales
A dozen stories, each one long enough to read for bedtime, featuring the Filipino take on timeless tales took us deeper into their background. Others are unique to the Philippines and refreshing after so many repeats elsewhere of the Brothers Grimm.

Very nice book. It’s for the older child I’d say. Pictures in it but not baby pictures. My granddaughters mum is of Filipino decent and thought it would be nice to hear stories from the other side of the family. Very nice book
