SCRUMPTIOUS SUPERFOOD SNACKS!
Look no further than Taali's Popper Water Lily Seeds for your next snack! As a health concious person, I am always on the hunt for new superfoods to add to my pantry. I was introduced to water lily seeds as a low-calorie, nutriton-packed alternative to potato chips. The texture of each of the popped seeds is unmatched. They are comparable to your traditional corn puff, however the nutritional benefits far trump that of traditional popcorn. The cookie crunch flavor tastes like a snickerdoodle cookie! These snacks have become a part of my regular diet, and I am always so upset when I run out of my last bag....

All of the flavors are good
I have come to adore water lily seeds, even more than popcorn. This is a wonderful brand. I was surprised to see how yummy the cheese flavor was. For gluten free eaters, water lily seeds are a welcome new category. My only quibble is that the size of the packages was on the small side for me.

I wanted to love them, but can only give them an enthusiastic "Meh" as a rating. I'll explain...
I was looking for healthier snack options for my husband and thought I'd give these a try. They're pricey, but the variety pack seemed to have some flavors that I thought he might like, and if I can get him away from Doritos, I feel like I've accomplished something worthwhile. :) These arrived quickly, so I was able to get them in his snack cabinet immediately. YAY!I was intrigued, so I decided to sample a bag of the cheddar flavor. The bags are pretty thick, so I needed to get some scissors to open them (not a bad thing, since the product was super fresh, but you definitely need a way to open these if you're snacking on the go). My first bite - they're popped, so vaguely similar to popcorn without the pesky remnants of corn kernels. They're a combination of crunchy when you bite time, but fluffy on the inside. That's kind of pleasant and makes for a satisfying snack. The cheddar flavor is nice, and actually, I liked all of the flavors that came in the pack. Perhaps there's a bit of an adjustment since I've never had popped water lily seeds before, or maybe this is just the flavor of the popped water lily seeds, but there's an odd sort of burned taste that's the water lily seed itself (and not at all the cheddar seasoning powder on them). It almost made me decide not to like them, but I have eaten a bag or two since and I'm still deciding if it's a deal breaker, or if it's tolerable enough to eat these and potentially purchase more. My husband hasn't eaten them all yet, so that may be the only answer that I need. Alternately, I may try some from a different maker and see if they have that same odd after taste, or if this is something unique to this brand. As far as snack options go, these do seem to be a bit healthier than chips with the same kind of satisfying crunchy/salty/savory texture and taste to quell cravings, it's just the odd slightly burned after taste that lingers a bit that I'm uncertain of.

Glad I tried, but will buy specific flavors from now on
These were good, overall. The texture was nice, and the flavors were good. The sweet flavors were not too sweet, with a kettle-corm feel to them. I liked the salt flavor more than I thought I would, and the white cheddar I already knew I liked. The tikka masala and turmeric flavors were good, but the flavoring was just too strong. I probably could have done with half the flavoring on them. This also would have cut down on the sodium, which was fairly high per serving. (This was the same issue I had with their protein puffs.) I'll definitely buy the four flavors that I liked again, but probably not the ones that I found over flavored. These are a bit expensive, but I think that the quality justifies the price.

Very different snack food
I tried this product because I was curious as to how different they might be compared to regular snacks like chips or crackers. The nutritional numbers were good. They do have a very different flavor and taste. I tried the white cheddar and the Tiki Masala flavor. I have to say I didn't really like the taste of these snacks. I think its going to be up to each person if they like these or not. Some might find them tasty, but I will stick to regular snacks. I would recommend you try them to see how you might like them, they were just not ones I will purchase again

Almost received my whole order
The media could not be loaded. Disappointing that for the price I didn’t even receive 4 bags like I ordered. Not sure who’s fault that is in this situation. The app is acting strangely and will not let me contact the seller or give them feedback so I’mHoping this review is seen. Not very sweet and good texture on these. This seed can be made either delicious or horrible. My experience has been 50/50 so far.

Ideal portion size for healthy snacking
We don’t normally “do” snacks in our household for health reasons. But we really like that lily pops are high protein and lower calorie count vs popcorn, our usual go-to. The portion size of these is perfect - and the flavors in tika masala and turmeric are enough to savor the snack and not mindlessly eat a whole bag. We now have one of these bags each with an episode of True Detective and it’s become a ritual. First snack to break into our routine in a long time. Highly recommend to all those who don’t really snack, but need a good choice when you just have to with a movie or show.
