Great for heat bags
After some research I decided to try this corn in place of wheat grains for my hand made heat bags/pads.I have to say I’m impressed. The corn retains heat for longer than wheat, it smells wonderful when heated and I adore the sound of the bag when I pick it up- like waves washing over tiny pebbles! Using my new corn ‘beanie’ is soooo comforting and relaxing.Sorry birds and fish, I’m keeping all the corn for me!!!!

It's not like the tinned corn!
Delivery service was excellent and item as described. Bought the corn for our chickens but they turned their "noses" up at it preferring the tinned version! Dont know if the kernels were to big for them. Will crush them and see what happens.

Nice maize, but you definitely need to cook it
I tried to feed this to wild ducks that visit and the pigeons did not want it either. I did break it up with a hammer, which allowed smaller birds to eat it.I had to go back to the Amazon site to see that it needs to be soaked and cooked. Cooking alone is not sufficient to soften it up.
