Great mower for a small yard.
Great mower for a small yard! I picked this up in early 2024 for $220, and it still looks like it's the same price in 2025. If you don't want to pay extra for cordless, or, like me, don't have a good place to charge the battery, this is nice for small yard. Make sure to research the proper gauge extension cord for the length you'll need at 13 amps (I'm using a 50' cord, minimum recommendation for that length is 12 gauge). Make sure when starting the motor to first press and hold the power button on the side then pull the bail handle down which starts the mower. After that you can release the power button. This is the reverse of what I was used to with gas mowers and I was worried it was broken at first. (Maybe read the manual? Nah!) I used it all last season and have used it twice thus far this year with no issues. I've got a flat yard which is mostly grass and I don't get tired pushing it. This is NOT a self-propelled mower but it is light. Mulches well, bag works well and comes on and off easily, height adjustment is easy to use. The handle can be folded down for easy storage but it's a bit of work to do so since it locks into place and there are two thumb screws to tighten it. I wish there were a fast release mechanism for this so it would be faster to fold up for storage. A great thing with an electric mower is it doesn't matter what orientation you store it in, you don't have to worry about gas leaking out! I wouldn't leave this out in the sunlight. The plastic probably wouldn't last long if you do. But if you keep it stored out of the elements and aren't looking to mow a large yard with it then this is a great mower. I've let my grass/weeds grow pretty thick in a couple of spots and it hasn't fully stalled out from anything I've run it over besides a welcome mat I ran over on accident. The mower stalled but survived. The welcome mat was very well mulched, so this thing has a decently powerful motor. Working with a cord can be a little bit of a pain, but if you're able to pay attention to where it is and you plan your route out well then it's not bad. Start close to the outlet and move away from it with each pass and you should be in the clear.

Wow!
Impressed with this powerhouse of a mower. Didn't think it could handle the jungle that was my yard. Hadn't mowed in two years. Blackberry vines were taking over. 2-3 foot tall grass was reforming the prairie back there. Small saplings were becoming real trees, magnificent redwoods even..This princess just handled it like a boss. Shredded it all with no stalls, burps, nothing. It's so light I can pick it up with one arm! I love the handle is tall enough that you can really get a good angle pressing downward for mowing tall stuff. I love the cord has a slot to keep it from getting yanked out. I love it doesn't use gas or those awful batteries made with resources obtained by by slave labor that pollute just as badly that you have to replace constantly. I almost docked it a star because it's not self propelled, but it's *so* light I actually don't miss it! Great mower!

Lightweight, Easy to Assembly, Works as Expected, wish it had a mulching blade!
This is a great mower so far, I have used it 3 times.. the one problem I have is the blade activation bar.. its uncomfortable to hold that down while mowing.. it will give your hand calluses.. Also, this mower does not have a mulching blade, so It will leave piles of grass on your lawn that you have to go back over on to mulch up. Also, if you use this mower in the morning on slightly wet high grass, it will bog down on you and it will throw your breaker. Other then that, it is very light weight, and easy to handle, does not need any self assist to push it.. It is also very stylish looking, love the black and the red color combo.. My one other concern is going to be the wheels.. I dont see that they will last for a long time, they look very cheap and flimsy, but so far they are holding up..

Oh yeah buddy
My 7 year old off brand electric mower died a slow death. So after much research I got this Craftsman mower. I didn't realize how much easier life could be. My old mower was ok but seriously underpowered for the crabgrass and weeds that make up my big back yard. This Craftsman is 12 amps. Between the time my old mower died and my new one arrived, it was almost a month and several rainstorms later. This yard normaly gets mowed twice a week so by the time I got the Craftsman the weeds and crabgrass were knee high in some places. I thot about using the Weedeater to knock it down some but hey, what a test of a new mower. Ended up being pleasantly surprised. I could only do about a 4 inch swath each round, I had to empty the bag about every 10 or 12 feet and it did bog down a few times. But we're talking about knee high weeds here. I've had the same results using my nieghbor's expensive hi powered gas mower several years ago. And unbeknownst to me, the grass wasn't as dry as I thot it was. It took 2 days (I had to quit due to the heat) but I got it done. A week later I mowed again and was amazed at how much easier it was than with my old mower. I cut a full 20 inch swath. This one is bigger, more powerful and the grass bag holds a really decent amount of clippings. And it's way easy to put on and take off. My dogs like to pick up sticks and break them into pieces and leave them everywhere. The Craftsman hit these hidden gems and blasted right thru them. I have trumpet vine springing up everywhere. No problem, chewed them up and spit them out. My front yard is small and has mostly Burmuda and Buffalo grass and a million little sticks from the trees. I finished it in less than half the time it used to take. Going from a twelve inch wide cut to a 20 makes a world of difference. And this mower has the power to do it. I've only mowed 3 times with this, so time will tell. Since it is a Craftsman, I can get parts and service if I need it. I can mow one handed if I want to manage the cord with the other. Its lightweight enough to toss in the back of my SUV if need be. (And I'm a 67 year old woman with bad knees) My only complaint is supposedly you can break down the handle and store it under a shelf. Technically this is true, but the reality its it's kind of a pain in the ass to undue the screws. So I probably won't be doing that. It kinda sucks because that was one reason I bought this model, but hey, that's my problem. It is rather loud but not as bad as a gas mower. All in all I'm very happy with it. It was easy to assemble right outta the box. Just be sure to have the proper gauge extention cord (I think mine is a 12 gauge, 50 feet long) and 10 minutes after you open the box, you'll be mowing!!

Nice little lawn mover. Used it all summer with no issues. Light and manoeuvrable but still has a good cut width.

Overall good machine. Lacks power of more expensive machines with higher Amps, or of course gasoline powered ones, but this is a nice machine for smaller lawns. It is much quieter than gas powered ones and also avoids the need to fill up / smell. You do need to careful with the electric cord to avoid cutting it with the lawn mower itself. Key points: 1. Don't set the height too low- the mower engine is not strong enough to handle even medium long lawns at this setting- if you want a really low cut lawn, first cut it medium, then low. . 2. Set up is easy, but the three settings of the length of the push bar is really long- so you need to set it to the shortest setting (using two screw knobs provided), 3. The handle that you need to pull for the engine to continue (for safety reasons) is very stiff. My wrist hurts after even cutting for a small while (10 minutes- female wrists!!). 4. The bag is tiny- I mean really small. You will need to empty this the bag frequently. For the price, it is good, especially as a started lawn mower and only if you have a small lawn. I would recommend.
