I thought this book was really beautiful and interesting.

This is a wonderful book. It contains an excellent blend of key historical information, insights into how kintsugi has been used by different artists and personal anecdotes. In many ways it is these anecdotes which are the true gem of the book as they create a bridge for the reader between the theory of kintsugi and the impact it can have on a personal level. The photos are a mixture of kintsugi in the modern world, important historical pieces and illustrations of the journey the author has taken. I was particularly inspired by the links to tea ceremony. This book is a must for anyone who is interested in pottery, ceramics, tea ceremony or living a more sustainable life.

A beautiful book that traces the history of this classic Japanese art form and mindset through text, illustrations and photographs. It’s detailed diligent and delightful and feels almost like you’re travelling Japan with Bonnie as you read it.
