Despite my best efforts, the plants managed to flourish
I did not read the instructions and just poked the bulbs into the ground. When I did eventually read the instructions, it said to soak the bulbs in water for a number of hours before planting. So mistake number one and I did not expect a harvest. A few months later I spotted some clover growing and pulled it up. Mistake number 2. What I though was clover was the green growth of the anemones. Well the plants survived all that and I have an impressive display of blue and white anemones.

Lovely vibrant blue
These are in flower now and the colour is lovely (a few different shades of blue, it seems). A nice little display just as the winter aconites (yellow) are finishing.

Perfect
These grew really well and flowered within weeks just like on the picture. Very happy indeed. Beautiful and healthy had no problems with them at all.
