Works quite well
I do a lot of automated IR control work and this is a very cost effective item. Even though it's not the highest of quality as I've had a few issues with the plastic cover falling off after dropping it, (my fault) it's priced right and I will be buying more of these. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Works well with my older Denon and Yamaha receivers
Emitters seem to work well positioned a centimeter or so above, below, or beside the equipment IR receiver. I have one IR receiver in bright sun for parts of the day, and the emitter works fine in those conditions. I plugged these emitters into a DIY circuit attached to a Raspberry Pi 4 and control them with ir-ctl.While I appreciate the seller answering my question regarding a diode datasheet, I believe they are mistaken. These emitters absolutely include a diode (the 'D' in IR LED). Without a datasheet, I took a shot and used a 120 ohm current-limiting resistor with a 5V signal. Working well so far.Regarding adhesion, I wiped the emitter base and the mating surface with isopropyl alcohol before applying the adhesive pad. Seems good so far, will update if it fails. **UPDATE: the included adhesive pads are no good, fail within days. I'm using 3M's Scotch Mount Indoor Double Sided Mounting Tape instead.

Good value
The adhesive tape seems a little foamy, so the emitter pulls away from the surface it’s mounted to slightly, which is purely a cosmetic gripe. These don’t have an led indicating to the eye that they’re transmitting but they’ve worked great with my control4 controller

Functions as expected

Completely useless..don’t work
The only way to test a non blinking IR Emitter is with a phone camera. An IPhone camera is sensitive enough to pick up the IR flash. I tested a whole box of these and none actually emit an IR Flash from my Connect4 controller. Zero, work. If the camera doesn’t pick up a flash there not working. Avoid these..not recommended.

Good value replacement cables
I needed a replacement emitter cable for my AV receiver, and the first one I tried out of the pack worked perfectly. I haven't needed to test the other four yet.

Not a true RF
These don’t work with all remotes.
