WINONS Hot Knife Cutting Tool, WHK0005 Plastic Cutter also Effective for Foam Board and Stencil (Kit of 19)

This product was sent, obviously secondhand. This made me very skeptical it would even work. I only needed it for one project that involved cutting thick plastic. It definitely did the job well and with ease. Did not come with instructions but it was pretty common sense on how to use it.

Bad news right out of the box. Put a knife in the collet and the collet in the chuck. Not enough thread protruded to allow it to screw on the hot end. Ground a little off the chuck and finally got it together. Heated it up and started to cut the plastic and the collet snapped threads in the hot end. In the trash after 5 min of use. Waste of money !

This is the best hot knife I've used. I've ordered others and they would either fall apart or stop working while using them. I will order at least 2 more to have on hand!

I bought this hot knife mainly to make more precise and effortless cuts I'm cardboard so I can make things for my cats. It does not cut cardboard any better than just exacto knife.It did however come in handy when I needed to melt through some plastic. It took a while to get hot enough to melt through the tough plastic but it did it...and then left a mess on the blade that hardened and then was impossible to clean.The stand will only function if you find a way to hold the stand down to a surface otherwise it will move around and it's hard to keep the tool on it.It seems to be more useful for thinner plastic cuts.

So I was very excited about getting this the reviews I should have listened to but some were good and some were bad I guess you get what you pay for to tell you the truth I haven't even used it when I got the thing open the box the instructions are very hard to understand or I should say if you call them instructions it took a bit for me to understand how to assemble the thing but I finally got it assembled missing a couple of blades that I was supposed to receive in the kit one of the blades I thought I won't even attempt to use that it's very thin and I know would probably break in a second and if that happened then it would probably break inside the hot tool itself and then it would not be able to used at all so to sum it all up I'm just going to return it the problem is I need one and I don't know what to buy I have looked at all the reviews on several different tools and all the reviews suck and I'm not going to pay hundreds of dollars for something that I'm only going to use to cut plastic with so disappointed customer but you get what you paid for I am going to reorder something else and hope for the best good luck everyone but I would definitely read reviews before purchasing this one I don't normally write reviews because I don't want to say anything bad but this needs to be said because I don't want anybody else to be ripped off I will however right reviews to try to help somebody not buy something or to encourage someone to buy something I like writing good reviews anyway my name is Tina disappointed customer

The media could not be loaded. There is no temperature controls which can be damaging considering what material you want to use it on. The most disappointing thing about this hotknife is the attachment features. The screw is to short and often falls off while In use. It fell off while I was cutting acrylic and burned a hole in it before I could get a glove on and pick it up.
