ITOEN Oi Ocha Japanese Green Tea Hojicha (Rosasted tea) Powder 100pcs

It’s been my all time favorite tea. Mild but with smoky taste. I love the tea and the packing as well. So convenient to carry and use it anywhere you go. Will definitely buy again.

The tea powder tastes very different than the bottled tea. It has an extreme toasty and nutty flavor. However, the ito en matcha sencha teabags was a better value for money. First, one packet of tea powder makes only about half a cup of tea or the tea will taste bad, while you can make a few cups with one matcha sencha teabag. Secondly, you have to use two packets of powder for cold brew. Lastly, it is a little bit more expensive than the matcha sencha teabags. I would still reccommend to buy it though. Even if the value for money isn't as great, the taste is probably why, because it tastes amazing! just make sure to use the right amount of tea powder to get the best tea flavor.

I use 2 packets in my reusable Starbucks cold tumbler cup/Venti 20oz. It’s enough for me for taste, if you want it stronger you can use up to 3 packets. It’s unsweetened, and love the roasted flavor of the tea. Too bad Amazon doesn’t sell the instant barely tea, as it’s great for the hot summer days when I work in the hanger all day. I usually have a hand full of these in my reusable ziplock bag, so it’s cheaper than buying from the vending machine and buying the bottled version of the tea as well, they run about $1.99-2.99 per bottle at my local international store.

I love roasted green tea. The instant isn't as good as the bagged, but it's still tasty.

This is one of the better houjichas I’ve come across in the United States. Usually I special order houjicha from Japan.

Loved it, I put Almond Milk & a touch of white chocolate S/F syrup. It was great, best yet I can drink it that way.Tried to drink it plain & I really was thinking I payed for trash. The Milk made a difference & I'm sorry I judged this tea unfairly.

After living 40 years in Japan, and now back in the States, it was fun to find this product online! It is convenient to throw in my backpack when we are traveling, and I can make the tea either hot or cold. Feels like "home"!

Box came a tad smashed, but the contents were intact. I've never made tea from powder before, but it tastes much the same as Oi Ocha's houjicha teabags. The price makes me wish I'd bought far more when I was in Japan.
