HOW TO MAKE A MOUNT FOR YOUR NVG-7 GOGGLES!
This is a great product and works flawlessly. Sturdy build and powerful unit. But, I could not fiind a mount to put this on my NVG-f Goggles from ATN. I fabricated one in about 2 hours. Since the Goggles have a "Shoe-type" receptacle on top of them to connect to a Rhino mount, that is the first hurdle. I took and cut a 4"(approx) by 11-12mm wide piece of 0.093"(thickness) 'optix' brand plexiglass. Any non-flexible plastic will work. The thickness is important since it must slide inside the 'shoe' on the Goggles. Then take a sanding block with 80 Grit Aluminum Oxide sand paper and bevel the top edge of your strip of plastic so it will slide in the shoes' groove. You may have to sand the width a bit too so the strip will slide in TIGHTLT/FIRMLY! Once completed, you are on your way. The strip is your platform for attachment of a piece of POLYMER Picatinny Rail. YES POLYMER. Take a piece of rail which is smaller than your Plexi platform. NOW you need to use your sanding block to sand down the edges on both sides of the rail so the entire assembly will 'clear' the top portion of the 'shoe' when you slide it in. (The bottom of the rail.) DO NOT SAND THE CENTER PORTION OF THE BOTTOM OF THE RAIL...IT IS GOING TO BE ATTACHED TO THE PLATFORM YOU MADE. After you have sanded down the bottom -side portion of the rail and have checked that it will not hit the top of the 'shoe' you are ready to Epoxy the rail to your platform. Center your rail on the platform and glue with GOOD EPOXY(Not crazy glue)...perfectly centered. You may have to sand a little more off the bottom of the rail if it does not clear the top of the shoe. Purchase a set of 1" scope rings that fit onto Picatinny Rail and you are all set to secure this light into the ring and then attach this assembly to your home-made mount. Works super duper!.

Works great
Bought this to use with my Sightmark WRAITH digital night vision scope. Wanted a unit powered by 18650 lithium batteries that also provides more intensity adjustment than the factory illuminator's 3 power levels provides. I got a chance to use it in the field this past weekend and am well pleased with the purchase. It appears to be as bright as the original illuminator easily lighting trees at 240 yds. I especially like that it runs either a single 18650 or a pair of CR123A batteries allowing me to hit the field with a charged 18650 while having convenient single use backup if needed. The smooth change of intensity from full bright to barely on is a great benefit, low level to spot eyes and silhouettes then once lined up raise the intensity for final verification of target before shooting. And the price is right. Only owned for a week, but so far so good. I do recommend this product.

Cheap strong light
If you're just trying to light things up while playing with night vision, does great. Only gripe at all would be that when you focus the beam all the way it turns into a square made of lines I'm assuming because you're seeing individual LED strips or something. Not a deal killer, but I can see why some people would be frustrated by something like that.

A Steal
Are there better IR Illuminators out there? Sure. Is this one a bargain? Absolutely. The IR glow from this is totally invisible, and I am able to effectively see coyotes fighting out at 600 yards through my AGM Comanche 22. Thinking about starting my own coyote fight club at this rate. Great piece of kit, use the focus adjustment to conserve battery life. I am able to get 8+ hours on the lowest setting, which is plenty enough for me.

Barely produced IR light
I wanted this as a separate IR source from the digital headset so the batteries last longer. This light barely made any IR at even it's highest setting. The lights on the headset work great, but they must have put a different LEDs that don't emit the right wavelengths. It also produced a very noticeable amount of visible red light which is very different from some YouTube reviews I watched for this light. Not sure if this was a lemon or they changed something about them, but it just doesn't work right. I really wanted to use this as everything about the design was well done, but if it doesn't work at what it was designed to do, then it's useless.

Poor Directions No battery inc.
I bought this because I have a Nightfox night vision binocular which is amazing for the money. However, the directions included for this flashlight are all illustrations with no explanations. It also takes a special 18650 battery NOT included (which is very unusual for a newly purchased device), so you have to put off using it and order it. Let's just say, I'm not impressed!

Very bright!
Great IR Illuminator for this price point!! Doesn’t come with any batteries so I went with a rechargeable set up so now I have extras. Haven’t used it for any extended period of time yet so I can’t say much about battery life but it is very bright out past 100 yards with my ATN 4K Pro. Makes it much less grainy compared to the standard illuminator that comes standard with the 4K pro so it’s a big upgrade imho.

Very impressive torch - very high quality and well made but at a reasonable price, simple to operate and nice to have the option to alter the range and focus of the beam - the 'ON' indicator light is also super helpful given this is IR. Works perfectly with the Prowl monocular and provides plenty of IR light while saving the battery on the monocular itself. Doesn't come with a battery but I used a button topped 18650 type and it fit with no issues at all. Pleased and impressed with my purchase - would recommend!

I have bought quite a few infrared flashlights over the last few years and I've started to work more with night vision and have been doing some infrared photography and, as a result I went out and bought a couple of "cheaper" infrared flashlights to use and try...they worked...then I upgraded to the Nightfox XB5. Honestly, this is by far the best infrared flashlight I've ever used! It provides the best options and light I've ever used in infrared! It has beam options from a wider angle to spotlight, and it lights stuff up in such a way as it is easily seen via the night vision or infrared scope or film, but is not so bright or obvious as to give away a position or location as it can be seen by the naked eye like some infrared flashlight. This has quickly become my go to for night vision or infrared use! My only complaint is it does not come with the batteries, which on their own, with a charger are not cheap, and there is no option to charge them once in the flashlight, but still overall this is the best infrared flashlight I've ever used, and this one issue would not cause me to recommend this light less, it's simply a need to know. If you are looking for a good infrared flashlight, the XB5 is one you should research and consider!
