PuppiaDog Harness Comfort Mesh Step-in All Season No Pull No Choke Walking Training Adjustable Neck & Chest for Small & Medium Dog - Navy - M

It is a step-in harness so easy to put on my wiggly girl. I have pink in large. My baby is a mixed breed - part poodle so she is thin (19 pounds) and long in the body. It is fully adjustable, which is perfect because I can accommodate depending on the length of her fur. Very sturdy. It sits far below her neck area so no worries when she tugs on it. Has not faded or frayed after multiple washings.

I love this harness. I bought one 3 years ago for my Boston terrier and have had it since, until one of the rings broke off and I had to buy this replacement recently. It’s so sturdy and well made and I’m sure if my dog hadn’t chewed on it at times then it would’ve lasted even longer. I love that the harness has two rings to hook your leash onto because it makes it more secure especially paired with the buckle! The only thing is the sizing is a bit off. The first one I bought years ago was a size L so I reordered that exact size recently but unfortunately it was way to small and I had to go with an XL which fit perfect. My dog is a 20 pound Boston terrier and measured 21 inches around his chest.

Puppia seems to have a problem getting a consistent size chart for the Type C harnesses. My Papillon has a fairly big head I guess for her body size, because we can’t get the small Type A harness over her head, and the Medium is too big around her chest so we’ve been using strappy Lupine step in harnesses because anything that goes over her head has to be snugged up once it’s over her head and then the buckles get stuck in her fluffy fur. But if she’s in the harness all day (like if we’re traveling) she can get chafed and rubbed very raw behind her front legs so we were looking into soft options and discovered the Type C harnesses! We’ve ordered four but only two have fit, all size Small, because there seems to be two sets of sizing and she’s between small and medium on one chart and at the smallest end of small on the other chart. It’s frustrating but the softness of the harness just can’t be beat!

We love Puppia harnesses and have been using them for over a decade. We adopted a dog a few years ago and he's been able to escape many harnesses, he has a smaller head, his body is tubular and his fur soft, so he's been able to back out of many harnesses. I saw this harness and decided to give it a try, and so far so good, he has not been able to back out of the harness or pull his way out. These run smaller than the Harness A, so although our dog is approximately 14 lbs, he wears a large in this harness.

Originally, I had a 3 star review but I have changed it to 1 star. I purchased this harness after returning 2 others due to a discrepancy in size for my dog. He is a 38 pound mixed breed with a lot of hair so the size charts were incorrect. Besides that headache, this harness is NOT durable! While I had him in it and attached to a leash- he was pulling me as he was barking at another dog. The strap on the side came undone ( it slipped right out from the plastic hook) and the whole thing came off over his head and he took off. Mind you- his harness fit and I had him strapped in it correctly!! Luckily- he did not get hit by a car or get in a fight as I was able to catch him- but I will not trust nor use this harness again. DO NOT recommend!!!
