After all the first class reviews this product received, I expected to get a first class product. This did not happen. In the very first use, I tried to open our wood burner door, and was shocked when the heat immediately penetrated through. Since then, I have not dared use these gloves, it's not worth the risk.I have given this just 1 star. It should be a zero, but I was unable to make this post without making some "award"...I am not surprised to find out that they are now no longer available. In fact, I'm delighted...

Bought this product because I needed something both for welding and gardening and got it yesterday. Felt in the mood to try them out on some of the many bramble bushes in my garden and got a bit carried away.Happy to report they stood the test very well. I went easy at first but as I gained trust in the gloves I went full steam ahead, not a single thorn got through, most of the thorns break off when faced with these gloves. The extended arm protection is also very handy as I was able to do the gardening in short sleeves. Other reviews say it is a good glove for welding so I think this is a very cost effective allrounder that will last.One drawback is that the inner red liner does leave red pigment on your hands after using them for a while due to contact with sweat. Easy to wash off and not really a negative.9/10 would recommend for gardening use, if as I expect good for welding too, it'll prove a cost effective all rounder.

Originally bought these for wearing when dealing with some really vicious one inch thorns on some shrub next to my drive that attacks me each and every time I walk past it summer or winter. Do they work for that purpose? No idea as I'm too frightened at the moment to tackle the established growth and have only cut back the newer growth so far, but even those devils are nasty, so I have high hopes. Do they work for my second use? Yes they are terrific for offset smoker and pizza oven duties. Will they be any good as welders gloves? Well if I ever buy a welding unit and learn to use it I'll give em a try and let you know.

I bought these to use in the garden with rather nasty thorn bushes and can honestly say no thorns got through. Would definitely recommend.

I bought these for heavy gardening work. I have pulled up brambles and not one thorn has gone through them! They come up over my wrists so I don't get stung by nettles. They feel a bit clumsy at first but do soften a bit with wear. I would highly recommend them

I purchased these as the reviews said how good they are. I wanted them for use with moulds. But heat goes straight through them. Good for gardening terrible for hot items.

Bought these gloves to use with our wood burner. They are great. My only wish would be that you could buy them separately as we always use the right hand one and the left one stays in pristine condition :)
