ASICSMen's Gel-Cumulus 22 Running Shoes

Finally, the Cumulus is back!
I've been wearing ASICS Cumulus for a few years, and have been increasingly disappointed with the quality.I started with the 18s, which I found to be extremely comfortable, with ample cushioning and an open toe box. The first time wearing them, I felt like I was walking on clouds. The only issue I had with the 18s was that the upper mesh was easy to rip. After going through two pairs of 18s, I gave the 19s a try. The upper mesh was sturdier, but the toe box was slightly smaller. Also, the cushioning seemed to take a hit as well, but they were still adequate. When the 19s wore out, and I tried to find another pair of 18s, but they were out of stock everywhere. I decided to give the 20s a try, and I was extremely disappointed right out of the gate. The cushioning was pretty much non-existent. It was so bad, I took the insoles out and replaced them with some orthodic spenco insoles, just to make the shoes usable. The build quailty of the 20s however, was top notch. It was an extremely sturdy and good looking shoe.I was never able to try the 21s, but from reviews, I've gathered the cushioning was just as bad as the 20s. With my Cumulus 20s just wearing out, and all of the older models I was okay with out of stock, I decided to take a gamble and try Cumulus one last time.I'm please to say It feels like I'm walking clouds again! The 22s have excellent build quality, have returned the wide toe box of the 18s, and have great traction. I am beyond happy that the Cumulus have returned to form, and this is the best pair of shoes I've had since the 18s. My only complaint is that the shoelaces are not as smooth/elastic as previous Cumulus models. It seems ASICS used the cheaper shoelaces that the Gel Venture models use. Luckily, that is an easy fix. The shoe was also laced very tightly and required a little bit of loosening to feel comfortable.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

Great shoes with great absorption for knees
I bought this pair of shoes because I decided to go to the gym. I had problems at my knees in the past so I carefully focused my attention into asics shoes with gel. The gel cumulus and the gel nimbus are essentially the same neutral shoe, the difference is that the sole in the nimbus stay softer for a long period of time. But the cumulus do a great job for me, it helps with absorbing my weight so I can walk for a long period of time with no issues. I just walk with these shoes, due to my weight I can't run but if you're overweight like me and you want some shoes to start losing some weight without any issues this are a great start for you. Just as example, I walk everyday for about 1-2 hours and no issues at all with the Asics, while before using another pair of shoes after half an hour I began to feel fatigue. Definitely worth the money, recommended!!!

So comfortable
Although I'm a cyclist, I've been walking more than riding recently and decided to move from the Cumulus 20 to 22. The 20 was amazing for the stupid Morton's Neuroma that tends to flare up when I walk a lot. The 22 is even better. These are by far the most comfortable shoes I've worn for not only the neuroma but just period. Pounding the pavement hard on fast walks doesn't faze me. Being more comfy has allowed me to walk faster, which in turn has pissed off a lot of my neighbors who are still annoyed that I switched from bike to walk on Strava and (at first unintentionally) started collecting KOMs around the area. Anyhow, they're not the most stylish looking shoe in the world but they sure look better than the eyesores put out by Hoka. I wear a 10.5 in Asics and find their sizing to be extremely consistent. Buy these shoes even if you don't have a stupid Morton's Neuroma.

Almost perfect?
The issue is that these are comparable to the other Asics I have purchased in the last year: All have been much narrower than previous Asics. This is the 3rd pair in the past year of different types of Asics and all are narrow. Not quite so narrow to warrant buying a "wide" size but almost, and I do not have a particularly wide foot. These can be worn but you have to let out the laces to a point that you have just enough to tie them. Maybe with use they will stretch? Nice padding on the bottom and structurally sound so are comfortable to walk/run in. But be prepared to untie and stretch open after the run.

Gold standard running shoe.
I have returned back to ASICS after taking a break from running. Previously wore the older edition and alternated with Saucony triumph. These are great shoes to have in your rotation. They have a great toe box that is between neutral and wide in my opinion. They have great airflow which I find import during the warmer months. The traction is great and should get 300 miles on them +/- terrain and weather. I don’t feel any heel slip when running. Some may complain about shoelace length but I like them how they are. If you like longer laces just pick up a pair when you get these. I also like the color options. No negative comments. If you are looking for more cushion try the gel nimbus.

Comfort
This shoe is always comfortable and has a long wear history. Asics makes shoes for running, walking and general wear. They design soles according to pronation and once a person knows and understands their foot pronation, just order new ones as they arrive. The fit never changes. Asics has a pronation guide, I recommend checking it, trying on the shoe prior to buying. If it fits well, stick with the same shoe type and never have to try on shoes again. This shoe is light weight, has a cool feel and look. Top notch for this runner.

Excellent sneakers with average performance.
Excellent sneakers with average performance. However, pay attention to the dimensional grid. I ordered it based on the sizes indicated on the official website, because the size of the insole was not indicated here.I ordered half a size larger, because I know that Asiсs is a small size. 9 1/2 size should have a 28 cm insole. In fact, on the box and sneakers size 9 1/2 has a 27.5 cm insole.Sneakers sat in the butt, even a little pressure from above on the big toe.Without a reserve in length, during long runs they will rub my toes.
