Great guide and a great price
A great guide for making baby food and information about starting solids. I debated just looking recipes up online, but this book is nice to have it all in mind be place. It also provides more than just recipes. While I am not following the meal plan that’s specifically laid out in the book, it helps provide me with ideas. The instructions for storing and making ahead also helps if you plan to make all or some of your baby’s food.

A healthy start for your baby
I used this book to feed my baby, and I can't say enough good things about it! I lived the stages, and it made starting solids so much less intimidating. I appreciate that the author is a dietician. I knew I wanted to make my own baby food, and this made it so much easier. The meal plans are so helpful and take the effort out of introducing allergens and new foods, and so on. The grocery lists are helpful as well. I will say that I think it made more food than my baby would go through before it gets too old in the freezer, but maybe my kid didn't eat much as a baby. A lot of the recipes I love eating myself, like broccoli cheese muffins, salmon patties, and ginger garlic meatballs. It's actually a go-to cookbook for several things, even though my daughter is 2 1/2 now. I think the approach of giving babies a lot of flavors worked well, because my toddler now is a great eater! She got a really great start from this book.

Great recipes, questionable shopping lists
I really like the simple recipes in this book for slowly ramping up from first introducing solids to eating table foods with the family. However I am a bit annoyed by the "shopping list" pages that do not include ALL of the recipes, just the ones from the suggested meal plan for that stage. I wish they had noted the bonus recipes and their ingredients on the list too; for example, 7 of the 20 recipes in stage 1 are not on the shopping list, but they are some of the first recipes in the book! So be aware you do have to pay close attention if you plan to make ALL the recipes instead of just following the suggested meal plan.

Informational
Sooo this book is absolute amazing. It has lots of great information and I highly recommend buying it.I personally did not use it that often because we moved from purees relatively quickly, but the price was great and for the information it was even better.

Great for homemade foods
This book has so much good information not just about recipes. I’m not a first time parents but this will definitely be an Amazing buy for the first time parents. Although this is my first time making my baby their food at home and not buying anything store bought, I love this recipe book. Easy and simple to understand

Best Baby Food Book!
If I could give this book 10 stars I would!Let me just preface this by sharing a little backstory:6 years ago I tried Baby Led Weaning with my first child, it was all the rage and despite it being a complete nightmare and disaster I stuck to it. My kid didn’t eat anything until after 1 years old all he did was throw the food on the floor. And now he’s the pickiest eater ever! This time around I said, let me try this other method. And I’m so glad I did. This book has simple easy to prepare recipes. My baby loves all of them and is such a great eater. Can you believe she’s eating curry at 8 months old? She loves all her veggies and has eaten every recipe in this book so far from stage 1 to stage 2. It takes me a week of cooking a few recipes each day to prepare food that last up to 3 months. I love how easy this is to do and how much better it is than buying babyfood at the store that has been sitting on a shelf for months with god knows what preservatives and ingredients. If you’re starting weaning, run and get this book! It has been such a joy! Nothing better than feeding your baby fresh healthy food and seeing them eat it all up.

Good but can find the same stuff online
It was helpful to me as a first time mom BUT I’ve found the same stuff online with puree recipes galore on Pinterest and blogs that I kinda feel like I wasted my money on this. If you’re looking for something simple to get started it’s helpful. Didn’t love the avocado freezer recommendation in this book because it doesn’t keep in the freezer or thaw well at all. Much better fresh or mixed in with lemon juice or another ingredient so that it actually can be frozen and thawed well.
