Slim line swim vest is excellent for kids on the cusp of swimming! It’s not a life jacket, but it will keep them afloat if they are close to swimming. My son wore it for a week and is now swimming independently!

This thing is great you'll love it it's low profile your kid will be comfortable wearing it all day. My 6-year-old son loves it

Glad we went with this option. My youngest is 7 and still not the best at swimming. Needed something simple just for reassurance in deeper water in a pool. It's surprisingly hard to find a simple vest that zips for kids over the age of 6 or weighing over 55lbs that isn't a full blown coast gaurd approved life vest with buckles etc. And just for swimming pool use. This was one of about 3 options for her weight range the other ones the prints were hideous or almost seemed like a baby would wear the design. This had all the elements we wanted, my daughter doesn't mind wearing it just in case because its not huge, she can put it on/ take off by herself and it does help keep her afloat. Weight range I believe is 55-80 lbs so definetely designed for a slighlty older child. Fits nicely when she has it on, snug, not tight and not bulky like a life jacket ( she is 57 lbs and average height for her age) We just didn't need something crazy big for supervised swimming. Worth the money, kid approved!

Fine but the sizing on the float says 3-6 and the listing is 5-8. This is super confusing.

This is exactly what we needed for the ocean in Hawaii! We are past water wings but didn’t want to pack bulky coast guard approved lifejackets. My kids are 5 and 7 and were size large.
