Great price for everything that you need for beginners in bee keeping.

I like everything about this kit except the gloves. First they are made from leather which all the literature states bees don’t like the smell of leather. Second the XXlg gloves are not a one size fits all. I’m a 5’3” woman and these gloves are so huge on me that I can’t pick anything up with them on.

It would be hard to rate this entire kit as some components are great and some not so great. First, as mentioned before, the gloves are very nice. Supple leather gloves with heavy-duty canvas cuffs that go most of the way to the elbow. The "J" hook hive tool seems like a heavy-duty one that should last. The smoker seems adequate but I'd recommend painting the luan plywood sides used on the bellows as they will delaminate if wetted. The frame grip I received was assembled backwards and I had to remove the spring clips and correctly install them. Not really impressed with the queen cage, queen marker or spur wheel. I haven't tried the feeder yet so I'm not sure. For the price, It's a good starter kit but you should realize that should you find that you will continue beekeeping, You'll eventually need to upgrade some components sooner than others, but eventually most of them.

Most of the items are sturdy. The brush could have been better.

Bought it for my husband and he loved it !! This was a good deal and these are thing that he can’t get enough up when it comes to bee keeping !!

Does the job

I have used all the items in this package and found them each to be substantial, well made and helpful with working with my bees. The smoker is more that adequate in size and provided enough smoke for me to complete everything I needed to do and not run out of smoke. I particularly like the gloves.
