Uni-ball Signo UM-151 Gel Ink Pen, 0.38 mm,19 colors set (Japan Import)

The pens are lovely, 19 pens, 19 colors, though on paper, a few look very similar. There's one yellow which I really like, someone commented she wished they had a real yellow. They are very fine writers 0.38mm but I love it, each one wrote right away with no skips or blobs on the paper. I ran a long line and it never skipped at all. Seems like the deeper colors are a little wetter or smoother, but for such a fine point, they all write wonderfully. I hope they never run out of ink or give me any trouble, and I would buy them again in a heart beat.

My husband bought these for me for Christmas since I like to journal. At first I thought he was crazy, I mean what's so special about these gel pens? I was totally wrong, I'm in love with them! They are an extremely fine tip, and can give a "scratchy" feel at first when you're writing with them. But as you use them you'll find them weirdly addictive. They write very well, and have such a thin ink flow that you can write very small without any issue. They feel great in my hand and as you learn to writing with a lighter touch they seem to reduce my hand strain. If you like very fine point pens, I highly recommend you check these out!

I saw the article in the Sunday NY Times back in the spring time of 2015. Impossible to find at a small or big Midwest city office store or a fully loaded art supply store. These pens are excellent! The 0.38 needle tips are excellent for writing or marking up drawings.Don't go too fast! Some say this tip is a little "scratchy" but it depends on the paper you use. Not scratchy to me. I am very very pleased with the variety of colors and the quality of the line work or handwriting. All the colors work the same. I was worried that different colors would give a different feel when writing or drawing lines. All colors feel and write the same!Very definitely a necessity for engineers, artists and anyone that likes colorful expressions!

Love these pens. Great variety of colors but a little pricey. Most likely will purchase again. Too bad they don't offer just refills.

I've reviewed a few other pen purchases and this one is also great. I like the way the gel ink is so smooth and the pen almost glides across whatever paper I am using. It is worth the purchase especially if you are a journaler, planner, scrapbooker, like to color or merely write with amazing colors. I am also pleased that these imports are available to us, but it does suck that they are not sold here in the states, or perhaps I just haven't run across the store that sells this Uni-Ball version. Either way, I totally enjoy using these pens for my projects.

I love the various colors. The yellow is more of a light orange color than a yellow. Other than that, I have used these pens to underline, circle and write notes in my bible. I needed very fine point pens with bright variety of colors for marking and writing in my bible. I am pretty happy with these pens since they are gel ink and do not bleed and love the color selection. I don’t press down very hard when using these pens, otherwise it will leave imprints on the back page. The ink flows easily and smoothly with little effort. The ink does not bleed through but you can see ghosting on the back side. The lighter colors have less ghosting issues. The ink is not waterproof, I have tested it after waiting for the ink to dry and the ink will smudge. I’m not sure about how fadeproof the ink is since I can’t test that easily. As long as the ink doesn’t get wet it should be fine. My pens came in cheap plastic bag. It would have been nice to have a case or something and a real true yellow color pen. I tested all the pens in the set and they all write well, except for two of the pink pens don't write very smoothly. It would leave uneven amounts of ink when writing sporadically. Last con, they are an expensive set of pens.

I've always had a hard time finding good quality colored pens on a budget. These are great quality. I have no complaints. Every single color has worked flawlessly and I couldn't recommend them more. These fine tip pens are great for taking notes and drawing diagrams. I'm a college student with a heavy science major and I really enjoy these pens. The variety of colors is also nice. You should buy these pens.

I immediately bought a second set for my Dad after I opened this package. Such a great variety (I only had 6 colors at the time) and good quality. I'm a total pen snob and love super fine point pens, especially for using in journals and planners, but it's hard to find ones that don't bleed through paper. These pens are a dream and I'm debating on buying a back up set! A definite must-buy if you love .38mm pens!!
