The suspension system is actually really comfortable and the hardhat is actually lighter than these same ones I have seen in the past! I love the color. It’s fits great and it seems like it would be the most durable hardhat I have bought!

Ok i just got my hard hat in the mail and i agree with the guy who wrote the only review about the suspension and straps inside not being that great. there is a 68$ version, 78$ version and a 98$ version. This one being the 68$ setup, (does) need the after market ratchetting suspension. The stock one it comes with isnt terrible but i would suggest spending the extra 10$.3M makes one that im kicking my self for not ordering one. Overall its a great hardhat for a great price. I read another review that someone wrote that mentioned the hard hat only had 9 months left before it expired. not the case with this one, only a month old. i will never forget being on a job doing solar panels on a roof of a school one summer and saw my boss with this hard hat on. I WANTED ONE! well my day has arrived. no more kneck ache or sunburn. im not sure why i waited so long. now im going to order the ratchetting system and enjoy being in the club! BUY IT! YOU NEED THIS IF YOU NEED A HARD HAT!

Super light weight and very comfortable. The Staz-ON Pinlock suspension provided works decently, but not the greatest. I will eventually upgrade to the Fast-Trac suspension system. The paint scratches super easily which kinda sucks. Other than that very great hard hat.

Being in the crane industry, I need a hard hat that can go into all production facilities. Great quality and worth every cent I paid for it. I do however use a different head gear.

Light weight and regulated for on the job training and cool in the heat of the day.

While I was hesitant to spend this much on a hard hat, I felt vindicated when I went to my first jobsite, and I saw virtually ALL of the workers wearing this exact hardhat. The only people wearing the traditional plastic-shelled variety were visitors and people wearing pressed button-up shirts and shoes with tassels. However, I was hoping for more. I know the price is 100% due to the carbon fiber shell, I was hoping for a more robust, and more comfortable interior. The suspension is no different than what I've seen on many $15 hardhats. Also, you can tell this is clearly just industrial-grade carbon fiber, as the edges are a bit rough, and the coloring is uneven, causing weird patterns. I really really really want a black carbon fiber hard hat though...but nobody makes them.

Great hardhat. I'm not a fan of the V-Guard or others with the odd shapes and moulded in designs. There is also a Skullgard made like a ball cap that would also be a great replacement. The only issue is the edge of the brim being ground, exposed fiberglass. I set mine on the hood of my truck and it scratched the paint where the edge of the hat rested due to the fine glass fibers in the edge. You can't really feel them, but they're there. I ended up taping the edge with black Super 33. Other colors could be used to better ID one's hat, but there needs to be something put on the edge. If dropped and the hat lands on the edge of the brim it is likely to be damaged. It sort of splinters and frays when the edge is impacted. I may look for some type of thin fiberboard trim to see if it can be formed on the edge
