Read the manual. It helps. Really.
There was a moment in my life when I realized watching "Interstellar" at volume 100 on my TV, and still missing dialogue, was not the way the world is supposed to work. I had to rewind... yes.It made me feel old. Frankly, for the price, it's fantastic! I mean I could spend this much on a good steak dinner.I'm not going to lie; I did have some difficulty setting the sound bar up. In my mind it was as simple as plug in the optical cable and power (optical cable included; nice touch)... It's not. For the longest time I thought I had wasted my money. It didn't sound like there was any difference. It wasn't until I muted my TV speaker that I realized it wasn't even working. So what did I do...? I read the manual. I know... another old person move. Come to find out you have manually scan for the input by holding down the input button for 3 seconds. There is a row of nondescript LEDs on the left side. Those will start start flashing; moving in an ascending/descending order occasionally stopping to flash two lights. The two dots that flash show which input it's on. Rather than trying to decode which lights it was on and what input I was plugged into... I just turned on Pandora and ran the input scan. When audio came on I hit input again. Yay. Not a waste of money, audio is much much clearer, and if I wanna hear the booms more this speaker supports a sub.Something that is annoying but acceptable for the price... You can only be paired to one bluetooth device at a time. If I connect to my phone it will remember the pairing and automatically pair up. If I attach my iPad, it forgets my phone even existed and I have to crawl behind the TV (the speaker is too tall and covers the TV's Iaser) to find the bluetooth scan button. All in all, a good purchase for the price.

Great soundbar with unexpected features, awesome value.
I had it on the wall and on working within an hour. Very easy set up. It gives you several ways to connect TV audio, including a slick fiberoptic connection, this is what I used. It also has a subwoofer output built in for a add on. Very nice feature. This is a perfect product to gradually build your home theater system. If you have basic stock speakers in your TV this is a great easy improvement that is reasonably priced. This, with a subwoofer, and two stereo bookshelf speakers as an awesome home theater set up that is as good as a IMAX theater, maybe better because your home, and not sitting next to some stranger with a persistant cough. Its nice there is some universal design with these products now. All the wires are located on the same side, making it easy to hide wires behind the TV if its mounted on the wall with a universal wall mount. The LED system was another pleasant design feature that I liked, lets you know if your muted, changing volume, adjusting the bass or treble. I'm having a hard time thinking of ANY cons to this product, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. I would recomend it to anyone. And, its less expensive than store models! Great product, great price. I shopped around.

Very Pleased!
Easy set up by me...who knows next to nothing about electronics. I have a 5 year old Vizio tv that's still going strong but the sound has never been so good. I could hear it fine at 18 but mom is hard of hearing and had to have at least 26 which HURTS my ears. It was loud but also the tone was irritating. Then a commercial would come on and I'd just about lose it. Our living room, where the tv is, is about 22x18 and has 4 door openings...just to give you an idea of my comments about this sound bar. When I heard the sound of it I fell in love! I have no perspective on any other sound bars because I've never had one but I do know what surround sound is. While it's no comparison to surround this little baby is great for my needs. It has a nice balanced tone and doesn't get louder during commercials...love. I think I prefer it to surround sound personally. It's efficient without being overwhelming and doesn't interfere with sounds coming from other areas of the house. It's priced right too.

Best budget speaker hands down!
Comparing this to the regular speakers that my VIZIO M series tv comes with and id have to say that there is absolutely no comparison. My original interest in a sound bar was because the dialogue was so much quieter than the action scenes and I would have to constantly be adjusting the volume up and down numerous times per show / movie. These sound speakers solve that problem hands down. There are also very great adjustments so you can adjust the bass, treble, surround, etc.Another great feature are the notification lights on the left side of the speaker. Since the speaker doesn't have a display, these small dots help to navigate through the various options. They have 2 different brightness options so you know how exactly you are adjusting the option. i.e. If you are adjusting the bass, all lights are on and the bottom light is the brightest, meaning your bass is at the lowest option. The remote is great as well and is very responsive. The speakers automatically turn on and off with the TV remote and the TV remote actually controls the speakers as wel l (I have a vizio TV connected through Optical).

Great sound for your money.
I received this Vizio soundbar on time and safely. The soundbar looks are pretty nice. I don't feel as if its cheap or lacking from more expensive models or brands. Setup was easy and straight forward if you're used to installing home entertainment systems. When I got the system all connected and played my first tv show. I was very satisfied with the sound that this unit produces. I do regret not getting the upgraded model with the sub woofer, but I probably don't need it. The remote it ships with is easy to control and light weight. I do feel that overtime it could break if it feel on the floor once. Overall the sound compared to my TV's speakers are worlds apart and I do enjoy hearing low speaking scenes in movies now.I would recommend this!!
