Great wallet at the price.
I purchased a pack of 6 in Nov 2014 and just started using my last one. So, looks like about 3-4 months each. Comparing to the 'as seen on TV' version of this product, which I owned before this, I have to say it is a good buy. 5 stars on price, not durability. Basically at 20% of the price, you get all the same features. Understanding that this wallet will get constant use and abuse, it holds up well. It is basically a plastic case with aluminum over-shell. The plastic hinge and latch will break and you will need to replace it. That is inevitable. The $10 unit broke and these $2 units will break. Mine get dropped, crushed and overloaded occasionally.I have 12 plastic cards, either credit, ID, insurance or library, and 2 paper membership cards, plus 5 bills folded twice to fit. When I get too much change and try to cram it in, the latch will pop. Do that too often and it will break.I used to have a leather wallet that I moved from my back pocket to a hip pack 30 yr ago. My chiropractor lost tons of money. But I carried everything and seldom needed it. Now I use these and just do without all the extra. Rarely wishing I had my hip pack with the 40 extra cards. (reward, membership, discount, blood donor, and misc.) Not much that I can't do with my phone number in these highly connected times.Anyway, that is too much explanation for a simple review. These are not $20 all steel wallets, but I don't mind replacing a $2 wallet 3-4 times a year. Just ordered my second batch.

Very positive
I bought the alumna wallet from a store. It broke. But, I really liked the wallet. I read all kinds of reviews for other alumna wallet. I basically chose this option as it seemed very reasonable in cost. I thought that if the wallet broke again, then I have five spares. I was surprised by the quality. The hinge is very solid and well put together. Additionally, the internal compartment is solid also. Finally, the supplier shipped the product quickly and exceeded my expectations. The reason that I wrote this review was because I was the person reading reviews and didn't know which one to buy--if I bought at all. If the supplier maintains the quality of wallets I received, then I definitely recommend this purchase to anyone.

Not bad, only one downside if you ask me.
Fantastic wallet, a little better built than the "As seen on TV" ones that you used to be able to get at Walmart. Great gift idea too. Gave one to each of my sisters for their birthdays. Only downside so far is that you can't choose the colors. If we're honest, for a $1 wallet it's great. Granted it is falling apart a little, but still holding together and working well. You can't put it in your back pocket and expect it to last more than a week, definitely a front pocket wallet. It's smooth case and rounded edges make it great for front pocket carrying. Definitely will buy again.

An Unbreakable Modular Design; Working RFID Protection Verified
Received new and timely a nicely packed set of 6 cases in the colors offered (black, silver, green, red, purple and blue), shown in their image at the time of my purchase. Although they're fully plastic, having a metallic–like appearance (with the exception of the hidden metal sheet for shielding), the cases are hard, strong and lightweight—lighter and smaller (smoother and cleaner) than my well–worn leather billfold inside my pocket.Because the plasticity of it all was bothersome, the RFID protection was personally tested to verify if it would work. A mass transit chip card (called a Clipper Card in the San Francisco area and used by Caltrain) confirmed that it couldn't be detected inside the Aluma case but could be detected when in my leather or cloth wallets. Some caveats to keep in mind: (The reasons for a 4 and not a 5 star rating) A couple of times, when it was dropped, disassembling at the hinges, it appeared to be broken but really wasn't once I realized it's a mass produced modular design that snaps back together with a little patience—a problem with the latches was solved in the same manner. Also, the thin layer of plastic sheeting on the sides covering the metal protection tends to easily crease, giving it the appearance of having some small but noticeable dents.Unrelated to the rating, fwiw it might help to know, there may be some initial frustration in getting acclimated to using the design as opposed to pulling out a pack of cards from a wallet; not to ignore the fact that organizing them needs to be relearned. Due to having a lot of cards myself, two cases are used (active vs limited) allowing me to put up to 14 in each without having any trouble in closing the lid. After a short–lived learning curve of a week or two, I'm glad to have made the purchase; it turned out to be a happy decision having long-term value. After an additional few months of use, it does get noticeably scratched and dinged up badly. The quantity gives it value in that it has given me enough time to know what is needed to improve on problems learned when it comes time to eventually replace them.

SHINY AND NEW
These cases look good, and make great gifts .. and a very important use ...but the inside dividers seem to come apart very rapidly ... and seem to be inferior durability material ... they are ok for the price .. but if I order again .. will not give them away .. but keep them all for replacements when the inside starts coming apart .

Great credit card storage
The hold about 8 credit cards comfortably, so you may need more than one! However, once you start using them, I doubt you'll bother with the traditional leather wallet. These are showing up everywhere now and I've seen some sell for $35. They are not going to last forever, but I keep my fingers crossed. The clasp and hints are plastic and they eventually break. I get a new one about once a year, so getting a 6-pack just makes sense. I've used a cigarette case, but it did not have any dividers for the cars. They will get more popular as people figure out that it blocks out RFI signals which can set off detectors at stores. That's not why I use mine.

Great colours
The box of wallets arrived on the second day!! Well packed. Beautiful solid colors. Easy to sort my cards into different colored wallets. No need to cram everything into one. With one or two cards in the slots the wallets are durable. One side of the case has ridges so I always know which side will open in the right direction. No confusion.

Great protection for your credit cards.
Easy-to-use and we both use two: one for Canada and one for the USA as we live in a border city: Windsor, Detroit.

Too many offered. But glad to find them.
I am very happy to have found the wallets but didn't need as many. They don't last forever because the plastic sleeves inside break so will probably be very happy to have replac ements. Knew exactly what I wanted and they delivered.Low scores are only on the workmanship and probably plastic sleeves just don't last.Would recommend them. Diane
