Good letterbox
Fairly easy to fit if you have DIY skills. Had to cut out a letterbox hole in the front door and chisel a groove for the retaining bolts. There are also screw holes to add extra support. The screws may need to be angled and best piloted.

A good quality product but I needed to modify it to make it fit my door.
The item was reasonably prices and arrived super quick. It was packaged extremely well and on first inspection I could see that the product was of a good quality. After familiarising myself with the product for a few minutes it looked pretty easy to install so I made a start. I soon realised that I would need to modify the product to make it fit because the depth was greater than the thickness of my door. The fire retardant material needed to be cut with a stanley knife before reducing the depth of the plastic on both sections with a hacksaw. Thankfully the plastic was very easy to cut. I needed to drill a couple of new 7mm holes in the door and shorten the fixing screws. I also had to remove a little of the fire retardant material to allow it to fit into the letterbox hole. Total fitting time was around 30 minutes and required the following tools:Stanley KnifeSteel RuleHacksawWorkbench (or sturdy surface)Drill and 7mm drill bitScrewdriverI am very satisfied with the end result and I would have given this product a 5 start rating if I had not had to modify it.

Very well built and sturdy, but..only just reached!
We live in an old building with a big hefty wooden door that is 7cm thick but there's no recess in the wood...which added the thickness of the letterbox to the thickness to the overall length of the door. I had not accounted for this in my door hole cutting and it made the letterbox barely long enough to attach with the provided fasteners.Once you have the letterbox pressed into both sides of the door...you have to blindly screw two bolts to attach the letterbox together, it'd be so much nicer if there were plastic tubes to guide the bolt as this was incredibly frustrating! This was made even worse with the door being so thick that it only just reached, but after the headache of trying to blindly screw in two bolts while on my knees at the front door...it works and looks great and it feels sturdy enough to last as long as the door. The hinges do seem to be plastic for the flaps but they're properly encased so shouldn't slip out, the springs are nice and strong but not too stiff and the bristles do their job of keeping out the breeze/smoke smells from people outside. The flaps, bristles, and overall length of the letterbox does make it difficult to post paper envelopes meaning you literally have to "cram" them in, they don't "slide" through but this may get easier with time and use. As of yet, I haven't noticed any bristles fall out.

Easy to install
We were advised to change our existing letter box to a fire resistant one in our apartment. Due to new fire regulations. This was perfect, and easy to install.

Decent basic letterbox
Does the job -- flaps are sprung and they open to almost 180 degrees, and there are brushes on the interior section. Could have been better if there was some form of sealing material around the outer frame and the female screw sleeves were longer to make screwing it all together easier. Don't overtorque the screws, as the flaps will not spring closed freely and you will run the risk of stripping the threads on the sleeves.

Poor quality - broke up after 2 months
The bolt attaching the cover is made of plastic and it broke up after using for only two months. Very poor quality and it is not fit for the purpose!

Nice letterbox
A bit fiddly to fit but got there in the end. Happy with the result. Seems decent quality and hopefully will last.
