This was a birthday gift for my mother. However, the outer box was damaged. More care should have been taken during shipping. So far, it's working perfectly. It wasn't broken. This thermos has always been of very good quality. I use it myself.

This has quickly become one of the most-used and favorite appliances in our home. We use it several times a day—it saves us time and holds plenty of water, which is so convenient. The three temperature settings are perfect for different needs, and since we use filtered water, everything tastes great.

First, if you have rust issues, it is because of your water, not the unit. It isn’t difficult - if you have minerals and junk in your water (all tap water does), they leave behind residue that builds up, and even rusts. If you have that problem, use the citric acid cleaner they sell for the units as recommended. It’s that simple. I have had this unit over 3 years. I keep it at my office, where it is on 24/5. I unplug it Friday evening when I leave and turn it on Monday a.m. when I arrive. It is used daily for soups, tea, and sometimes pour-over coffee. The first couple months, I babied it, turning it off at night, draining and cleaning at the end of the week, etc. I stopped when I realized it was totally unnecessary. I only use filtered water from a 5-gal dispenser at my office. In 3 years of constant (week) daily use, I have had zero crud-buildup, no rusting or any other issues. I have never needed to run the citric acid cleaner through it or do anything else other than to wipe off the exterior now and then. When I fill it up every other day or so, I remove the lid and inspect the lid and the interior. No rust, no white crusty minerals, nothing. 3 years and 2 months of regular use, and it still works and looks like new. I have been shopping for a similar one for home use - after looking at all of the different brands & models with their mixed reviews, I am opting to spend the extra $ to buy the smaller version of this same unit with no reservations. With all of the cheaply made, poor quality products that have flooded the market and landfills these days (thanks Ama***), this Zojirushi (Japan) stands out.

I've been using this Water Boiler and Warmer for two months now, and this thing is amazing for anyone who needs hot water readily available throughout the day. I opted for the largest size (5 liters), and it's perfect for my needs for a household of 6. The best feature is definitely the ability to keep water at a consistent temperature after boiling. I primarily use the 208-degree setting, which is the highest, and it's fantastic for quickly dissolving my coffee. It also has settings for 160, 175, and 195 degrees, providing great versatility for different needs. A cute little melody plays when the water reaches the desired temperature, which is cute. Another thing I love is the easy-to-read panorama window that clearly shows the water level. It's super convenient to know when a refill is needed without having to open the lid. Cleaning is also easy, thanks to the non-stick interior. I'm so glad that the inner layer is not plastic, unlike my old water boiler. it feels much higher quality and durable. There's only one minor thing to be aware of: this boiler draws a lot of power when it's boiling. To prevent any electrical issues, it's best to plug it into a dedicated outlet. If that's not possible, just avoid using other high-powered appliances like a hairdryer on the same circuit while the water is boiling. Other than this small consideration, I'm extremely happy with this water boiler. The quality is excellent, and it has made my daily routine so much easier. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient way to have hot water on demand at home!!

What could be better • The size might be a bit large for smaller kitchens or counter spaces. • The cord could be longer for more flexible placement on the counter. • The lid could open more easily with one hand for convenience. Bottom line: A reliable and efficient hot water dispenser with great features, but may be a bit bulky for small spaces. Perfect for those who frequently need hot water at precise temperatures, but consider the size if you have limited counter space.

I love everything about this water boiler. Perfect when my home area is out of water or on boil notice due to being out all the time. Easy to lift and fill with water, great handle and design is pleasing for the kitchen. My favorite appliance ever. I use it daily and to have hot water on demand when I need it. The little tunes it plays when the water has boiled is pleasant and reminds me of childhood. Quality product. Easy to use and to clean. Excellent value for the money. Oh, and the detachable cord is so great! I wish all products had this!

Como disse no vídeo vale cada centavo Ela só é pra ferver água e manter aquecida. Aí vc usa a água em que precisa quentinha a qualquer hora. Diferentemente dessas comuns que ultimamente vimos Que depois que esquenta elas não mantém aquecida a água. E também chegou antes do dia🤗🤍🥰

Have only been using for 2 days so will update with any issues. I searched hard to get one that was an original made in Japan version and I love that they have 3 identifiers saying “Made in Japan”. I boiled it 3 full times before using and there isn’t a plastic smell anymore. Also the cute long song that plays when it’s ready can be changed to a beep or silent, so no complaints there. This is great for working from home and wanting hot beverages immediately. Only small complaint so far is the timer function is not by setting a time but by setting hours ahead. Maybe the more expensive versions have an actual clock-like setting but this will still work for us.

Satisfied for how much water it can hold (5L) but the handle is somehow felt flimsy, when compared to our previous one (3L) , same brand, which we have used for so many years. Handle gives no solid feel after putting 5L water inside and then transport it from sink to counter top. I have always have a feeling that it may easily snap one day. Except that, I don’t like the music played after the water is ready nice and hot. First few times is ok, fun to hear… but hope it has button to turn off the music. ( I didn’t read instruction booklet tho.).
