I received this much later than the estimated delivery window. When it arrived, I immediately noticed the chip on the lid.The lid is also much more faint in design compared to the rest of the cup. The saucer and cup have a distinct design, while the lid is blurry and the lines are faint.The saucer also has an inconsistency along the edge that is really noticeable. I wouldn’t care if it blended in.The seller did respond to my question about the unclear shipping update I received (which, I believe, is the fault of the shipping company, so this review is not factoring in this at all. The two star rating is only about the quality of the product), but the seller may want to look into another shipping company that has a more accurate and reliable tracking system.

It took a couple of weeks to get here, but arrived securely packed and no breakage.For the price, it’s a nice little gaiwan. The blue bat design is cute, but looks like the screen printing was disturbed during the application process. The saucer has some debris under the glaze. It’s not very noticeable and still perfectly functional.The gaiwan is the right size to make tea for 1-2 people and can is easily held with one hand to pour. It’s a sturdy porcelain and doesn’t feel like it will easily break.Overall really happy with this bat gaiwan. We already had several sessions with it, loving it with dragon ball white teas and oolongs.

The lid and/or vessel aren't perfectly round leaving a tiny gap that a tea leaf occasionally may slip through when pouring, but it isn't a big deal, and I like the product. Some of the glaze is metallic as I found out when I tried to microwave a beverage that had cooled off too much. NOT microwaveable! Capacity is less than the standard cup of tea I'm accustomed to. The gaiwan concept works great and the vessel cleans up quickly and easily. Clasping the assembly with fingers underneath and thumb on the lid I can filter out the leaves while pouring tea avoiding the need for a strainer.

It’s a visually stunning gaiwan, but decorative use only. I decided to try it for brewing just to see (you never know), but the lid is very slippery and I scalded my fingers. Ended up ruining the tea. Do not recommend for real use, but as a gorgeous decoration, it’s a real beauty.

This is the first time I have purchased a Gaiwan tea cup set. The craftsmanship of this set is superb. I am very pleased with it. The set looks like the picture and is the size that was specified. The painting is lovely and the quality of the porcelain is very good. The only thing I will say is that the set is not dark blue, but more of a green. It is shown as green in the picture, however. I am happy with it regardless, and would purchase from this company again.

I saw an item in a TV Series. I thought is was pretty, when I searched for this style, and saw this very, very similar color and pattern, I ordered it. In appearance, it is better than the photos. It is gorgeous! Like porcelain it is sheer. I feel very special when I drink my Jasmine tea. I recently ordered another set and I am seeking the tea pot in the same porcelain pattern.
