Solar Panel SPX1

I've had the camera set up for a week now and perhaps that's not long enough to provide any sort of in-depth review. In the short term, however, I'm more than pleased with this product. It was amazingly simple to set up – once you have the CloudEdge app in place, it really becomes self explanatory. I hung the camera out in my car port where it keeps its watchful eye on part of my driveway and a section of my backyard closes to the house. In a gadget that costs less than a hundred dollars, I didn't expect much from features like body detection, but what do you know? Every time something moves in the Zumimall's impressively wide gaze, I immediately get an alert sent to my phone and I can clearly see images of whatever it was that got the camera to recording. I keep body detection on the low setting whenever I engage it and that's proven to be perfect. I didn't expect much from night vision, either, so I was surprised to see how crisp and clear images are even in the blackest of night. The mounts for this camera are awesome; well-made and versatile. I'm using the screw on mount at the moment, but I'm intrigued by the versatility of the magnet mound, which really holds on to the camera well. Everything about this camera so far surpassed my expectations. I've had zero problems with the camera or with the associated app. When I'm away from home and want to see what's going on in my driveway, the app loads fast as do the live images. I'm a week out and I've been using body detection every day and yet the battery is still near full. That's impressive. I don't doubt that the batteries will last for months without issue. In spite of that, I was quick to order the solar panel – it's only 25 bucks and it will be good to never have to worry about the battery. The panel itself feels well made and the mounts are solid. All around, this seems like an extremely well-thought out camera and the makers didn't go cheap on the peripherals. I don't know how they keep the cost so low, but as long as they do, I expect I'll buy at least two more of these cameras to place in and around my house. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. UPDATE: Nine months later, that camera is still rocking. Both the panel and cam have held up great through the hard Maine winter. I've recently moved the camera to a different location and don't have it hooked up to solar. I'm astounded at how great the battery life is on its own. Two weeks unplugged and it's still showing a full battery. Great camera.

I just bought this with the 5W solar panel. I love it for our set up with stairs. I can see when a package is delivered a can feel secure until I can bring it in. I purchased the solar panel also and it is working out the way I want it. It charges during the day and uses battery power at night and I don't have to take it down to charge it. Make sure you have the right solar panel, it will not work with other brands. The customer service was great when I had questions they got right back to me with answers and follow up. I highly recommend this product.

Good product easy to install

The solar panel itself performs well and reliably maintains charge for my wireless security camera. Build quality feels solid, the cable length is generous, and it has held up well to outdoor exposure so far. That said, buyers should be aware that the “360° adjustable” wall mount does not function as shown in the listing photos when installed on a flat exterior wall. While the mount technically allows both rotation and tilt, the short standoff distance means you cannot meaningfully use both adjustments at the same time once the panel is mounted. In real-world wall installations, rotating the panel to face the correct direction significantly limits usable tilt due to wall interference. This isn’t a deal-breaker — the panel still works well if you prioritize proper facing direction — but the listing images appear to show idealized or roof-edge scenarios that don’t reflect typical siding or wall mounting conditions. Buyers expecting full, independent tilt and rotation as shown may need to add spacers or use a different mounting solution. I love this panel! It keeps my doorbell cam charges throughout the day & is a nice size! It's actually compatible with my camera. There was no issue connecting it to my doorbell cam or mounting it up on the house. Its designed nicely and I think its food for the price.

I bought this because I love the fact it can run off solar. I did notice that the solar panel has to be slanted. I originally hung it flat, but didn’t work as well. As the battery went dead within two weeks. So once I put the bracket up, the camera stays charged. So far it’s been doing better. I’m still curious how it will do, in southern Ohio cold dreary weather. This camera is very easy to use. The SD card works great. And motion detector works good. If the battery doesn’t stay charged again, it is easy to take off & bring into the house to charge the battery. Also when you go to hook it up to your WiFi. You must be in the same room, as where your router is to connect. It will not work yo connect the first time when your far away. Once it’s connected your fine. I like this camera & would buy it again, even though I feel it’s a bit pricey. But you get what you pay for, is my thought!

Two panels stopped working with new Zumimall Cameras......why? Both get direct southern exposure, both kept cameras charged and within a month twp solar panels stopped charging cameras. Panels were clean. Cameras brought indoors and charged but one is 12' high... at 78, i'm not chancing ladders in freezing weather.

It works as it should,charges up my battery for my security camera. Seems to be of good quality

Works well with a micro USB to DC adaptor to power a Ring stick on camera. Adaptor can be bought on auction sites for a few pounds.

Tengo una camara de bateria, y lo que me molestaba es que el uso que le daba hacia que la bateria se terminara en 2 dias, con el panel instalado ya no me preocupo de estarlo cargando, llega hasta cargarse completamente en 1 dia, no se como deberian de funcionar porque es el primer panel solar que uso pero no me decepciono para nada

Tarda un poco, alrededor 2 días al sol para reconocer la carga completa en la cámara. La orientación al sur es importante cuando el lugar donde lo colocarás recibe poca luz.
