One of the first translations into English was Stave! (etages in German) I knew if I couldn't even understand the words in my own language the bilingual book idea was doomed. However I have kept the book on the shelf and in a couple of years time when I have improved and I will try again, as I think it is a great idea and well worth £7.

This is an excellent book if you are interested in reading or learning German. Because the pages are side by side in German and English translations, it is easy to reference when you are not sure of a phrase or word. A really super aid to learning and great fun too.

Compact book which is easy to read.

Keine Ahnung, ob man hier den Lehrling aus dem (polnischen- kein Witz!) Fremdspracheninstitut mit der Übersetzung beauftragt hat, oder warum manche Formulierungen so schief und seltsam anmuten, dass man die Zusammenhänge nur erraten kann. Habe das Buch wirklich ins Altpapier geworfen, so etwas tue ich sonst nie, normalerweise verschenke oder spende ich meine gelesenen Bücher immer.

This format of side-by-side translation is very effective for the language student trying to improve fluency. Any unknown words can be learned immediately, without stopping to look them up in a dictionary. Makes the learning faster and more fun.

I was really disappointed with the lay out of the text in the whole book. Without adequate margins for the text, a very poor editorial design.
