Actually VERY discreet, but a little more bulky than a normal clock would be. If you stand to the side of it, you might notice something 'off' about it since it protrudes off the wall a lot further than you would think, but that doesn't make it a bad hiding spot! Also, you CAN cut a hole in the wall and insert the clock into the hole like you would do with a wall safe I guess. The shelves are not very deep for obvious reasons, so it's definitely made to store very small items (jewelry, pill bottles, car keys, USB drives) It doesn't have any outside indicators that it opens up to a secret compartment , which I like, but then again, it makes it less secure without any type of lock. Now, regardless of which way you install it, I probably would not trust it to conceal a large amount of cash or anything SUPER valuable, but for the simple purpose of keeping my medication away from kids or nosy guests, it works just fine!

I liked this when I got it. I bought it for my daughter. When she tried to open it to see the storage area, The clock busted loose from the back. It stilll can be used, but it isn’t the same.

Let's start this way. I bought the Stalwart 82-5894 on a whim, and it's quality as a clock is very nice. It hasn't lost a minute in the two weeks it's been running, it isn't super loud, and it has a very clear and readable facade. It's a great clock. I'm just not sure how good a safe it is.The safe doesn't lock so it's more of a secret weed hiding cubbie, and it feels like every time I open it it shuts a little less tight. Also it's only secret from the front. From the side it sticks several inches out from the wall, two or three times as much as a normal clock. Even still, the shelves inside are pretty shallow. I use mine to store some cash, the title to my car, and my spare key, and there's not really room for anything else.Would probably drunk buy again though.

Great way to fool anyone who thinks to look up at the time thinking it’s just an ordinary clock and not knowing there’s a hidden storage behind it! Deep 3-shelves! Put in money, jewelry, small documents (folded)! Battery compartment directly behind clock doesn’t get in the way of compartments! A must have for those quick hiding items!!

The media could not be loaded. If you can find a different one I would do that. It works for me but I had problems like other users. I'll start with the only positive, the clock works well. Arrived with the second hand not attached. I had to take it apart and screw in the second hand. You will need a tiny precision screwdriver. The top plastic pops off with a few tabs to fix this. It does stick off the wall pretty far so it's very noticible and can look out of place. The plastic piece or latch to keep it closed is just that, a little cheap plastic tab that immediately broke when I closed it! I guarantee this latch will not last for you, it should have been a magnet or steel. So I had to put a piece of duct tape there to get it to stay closed.In conclusion, if you want something you can use out of the box, this is definitely not it. The video shows where the plastic latch is broken, as you can see how thin the plastic is and know why it broke immediately, if you are looking for quality, pass on this one. I would never give this as a gift. I would not recommend, and could never say it's a good value for the money, even at half the price. I will say if you are a handyman it may work for you with a few fixes or alterations.

I love it! I would have liked a classier more expensive looking clock to match furniture and decor In my home but this does the job. It looks like a regular inexpensive clock, I looked everywhere for a better quality diversion clock but could not find one anywhere so I purchased this one. i was actually pleasantly surprised when I opened the package not bad quality and it doesn't look as cheap and tacky as I expected it to look. Also I like that it is not too steep while looking at it from a side angle so you wouldn't really expect there to be a secret stash spot. Overall I like it and not one person who has been in my home has taken notice to it, which is exactly what I want. That is the point after all!

You couldn’t tell it was to hide anything if nobody was to tell you, it’s very good! And a good price!
