Just like OEM
I was initially concerned about this product because it lacks internal baffles. Many reviews, and online groups, suggested that the original Jeep pans were made with internal baffles and were necessary to prevent oil starvation during extreme off-roading. However, after inspecting my original pan, I discovered that it also didn't have baffles. So, my fears were unfounded. This replacement pan fits perfectly.

Sturdy pan, fit like a glove!
I ordered both this Dorman pan and the Spectra pan to replace the dented OEM pan. This Dorman unit made in Taiwan fit like a glove... Square and flush on the block, and all the holes lined up perfectly. 16ga steel, same as stock. I removed the baffle from my old pan and tack welded it into this unit. A couple of strategic taps with the ball peen to clear the Melling high-volume oil pump on my 4.6 stroker. Buttoned it up, ready to go!!!

Fits Perfectly
Very nice for the price local parts store wanted double for same exact pan. Fit well on my grandcherokee 4.0 liter. Does not have oem oil baffle plate, not needed for normal driving conditions, from what I gathered it's to help keep the oil confined to the pan/pump for more extreme off road 4x4ing up hills.Yes I would recomened for a cost effective replacement.

Perfect Fitment for 99 WJ
This oil pan is exactly as advertised. It arrived a day ahead of schedule, and was well packaged. This particular oil pan was paired (at additional expense) with a single-piece Fel-Pro oil pan gasket (blue). My old oil pan gave up the ghost when the bolt inside the pan broke loose under nothing more than hand pressure. While there are clear differences between the Mopar original and the Dorman replacement, I find this Dorman replacement part to be worthy. It fit perfectly. It is nicely finished (although the interior is not painted). And it does the job. But, there are important differences between the original Mopar and this Dorman replacement oil pan. The first thing that caught my eye was the 'shelf' built into the Mopar oil pan. It was located in the elongated section of the Mopar original pan. It is there to protect the oil sump from damage, should some part of the engine break off, land in the oil pan, and damage the oil sump. This is important because a damaged oil sump can potentially cause a running engine to starve of oil. That, in turn, leads to an engine seize. This is something to consider if you find parts of your engine soaking in your old oil pan. If you do find engine parts in the oil pan - consult your professional mechanic.Although there was no such shelf in the Dorman replacement oil pan, I still believe Dorman deserves 4 stars. It is cost effective and fits perfectly. And since I maintain my engine, I'm not too worried about large foreign bodies in my oil pan. This leads me to believe that the MOPAR interior shelf is a nice luxury that I can do without. But, as always, you will need to make your own determination. Consult professional help if you're not sure. The Dorman oil drain plug is also not the same size as the Mopar original. This isn't a big deal, but it's important enough to mention.Overall, this is a good product. I recommend it.

Not worth it.
I usually do not take the time to right negative reviews. But, this oil pan was a waste of time. If you buy it make sure to check the drain plug and make sure it is not leaking or broken in any way. After putting the pan on my jeep and filling it full of oil I noticed a consistent drip from the drain plug. I figured I would just tighten it. All it did is spin. It would not go in or out. After wrestling with it for about an hour dripping oil the whole time I finally managed to get the drain plug out. The piece of metal inside the pan that the plug screws into fell off completely. Rendering the pan completely useless. I couldn't even clean up the threads or tap a new whole. No choice but completely remove the pan. The pan is about half the weight of a stock pan and drain plug ( bolt) screws into a thin piece of metal inside the pan that is just tack welded into place. Cheaply. Where as the stock pan has a Nut welded into place that is about an inch long and very thick. I suggest anyone reading this to just try and fix the factory pan if possible and do not waste your time with aftermarket. My pan was leaking after removing this cheap pan that was also leaking. I just welded the leak and cleaned up the factory pan.
