Perfect AC Fix
5.0 out of 5 stars - Saved My AC! Works Perfectly! I bought the Genteq C3355R to replace a failed capacitor in my home AC unit, and it’s been a game-changer. Installation was a breeze—fit perfectly as a replacement for my old GE Z97F9834, with clear labeling and standard terminals. My compressor and fan are running smoothly now, no more buzzing or startup issues. It’s been a month, and the AC is cooling like new. Super reliable, great quality, and an amazing value for the price. Highly recommend this to anyone needing a dependable HVAC fix!

Also works for pool pumps (maybe)!
This weekend the pump that runs my hot tub jets stopped working....when I turned the power on, the pump just hummed but would not start. I could feel the impeller was able to turn freely, so that means the bearings were not the issue. I guessed (and later verified) that my pump had a bad start capacitor (cap). The cap on the pump was one of those mounted externally like a piggy back, so it was very easy to access and remove. I didn't need to remove the pump or even the main wiring...just two small screws on the metal cover over the cap. In the attached photo you can see the old/bad cap on the far right. This thing is marked 35uf (microfarad) and 370 volts, and as you can clearly see, it only has two terminals on top. I guess I was in a bit of a rush, and I am NOT an expert on capacitors, so I quickly ran a search on Amazon and found this item (shown in the middle of the pic) which I thought was an exact match. As it turns out, I was mistaken -- the cap on my old pump was a "single run" unit which is why it only has two terminals on top. This cap I purchased from Amazon is a "dual run" unit which means it is actually TWO capacitors in one -- one is 35uf and the other is 5uf. Just for comparison, on the left is a much larger 80uf 440 volt cap from my A/C unit (this is a spare). The idea with a dual-run cap is that rather than using two different caps, instead you can use one of these to hook up to your A/C compressor (which needs a higher capacitance rating like 35uf) and also the fan on the top of your condenser (which needs less, like 5uf). After realizing this, I thought I might have to return this mistakenly-ordered dual-run cap and get the correct single-run instead (oddly, the single-run cap was slightly more expensive than the dual-run unit). However, I discovered the dual run cap fit perfectly under the cover on my pool pump where the old cap was, so I decided to try hooking up the 35uf terminals to the pump to see if it would run. And of course, it ran PERFECTLY. As far as I can see, there is no adverse on my pump, which makes sense because this unit IS a 35uf capacitor....it just has an additional 5uf terminal that I'm not using. So bottom line -- it was totally my fault to order the wrong cap, but this actually worked to my advantage since this fits my pump and is actually cheaper than the "correct" cap. Seems like a win/win to me!

usually the problem with a/c's and easy to replace
perfect fit and took care of my issue. i ordered another just for back up because capacitors are the #1 one problems usually with a/c units

Great price and it fixed our AC
Life saver! This is the first part to fail on an AC unit (usually). In our case it was. Easy to swap out but **MAKE SURE YOU DISCHARGE THE POWER SAFELY FROM THE UNIT BEFORE YOU UNHOOK IT** (use an insulated screwdriver to touch each pole to the AC unit metal itself) You will want to make sure you also put all 4 connectors in the correct spot (see markings). There are many youtube videos on how to replace these. I have a spare one of these now too just incase it decides to fail later down the road.

Exact Replacement for Trane AC, but...
Was very happy the cap came very quickly and, as others have said, saved me about $175 in replacement case. Installed very easily, but I have some background in dealing with high voltage...very important to know what you're doing and taking safeguards. Yes, the cap needs to be fully discharge among other things first. Only one complaint. The cap came with a white dot which indicates factory testing at as much as 6% less than nominal capacitance. I don't have a tester myself, but I know that adequate capacitance is part of what protects the fan and compressor and provides smoother starts. I wonder if Amazon buyers get the white dots, and the pros get the yellow dots (yellow means at least nominal capacitance or higher). Anyone else getting white dots?

Perfect fit!
This is working perfectly in my Carrier air conditioner unit. It is a perfect match to the old capacitor, same terminal configuration, and installation was simple. Really pleased that it was delivered overnight as the old one failed on the hottest day of the year. No doubt I saved hundreds $$$ on a service call.

capacitor is clearly labeled and easy to install.
my ac went out on me the other day. had a technician come out to diagnose the issue. he came back with the capacitor and contactor both needed replaced. he gave me a quote of $1,000 to replace them. i paid him his $98 and sent him on his way. got on good ol' google and searched the capacitor and contactor needed, and for both parts, it came to $47. I figured if this didn't work, then a new unit was in my future. i went with this capacitor. after about 30 minutes, i had the old out, new in, and i have air!!! the capacitor works flawlessly. when you install this (you don't need a technician!! MAKE SURE YOU TURN OFF THE POWER). the posts on the capacitor are labeled HERM, C, and FAN. when you remove the old wires from the bad capacitor, place them on the corresponding terminals on the new. the old and new capacitor should both have labels at the posts. easy peasy!

Our AC Runs Again!
This brand is what was originally in our AC unit. Our AC had stopped working recently. We researched what could be wrong and replacing this was one of the number one things to check. Installing the part was simple and fast, it only took a few minutes. As soon as we turned on the power and turned the AC on we had cold air! Save yourself a call to a repairman and keep one of these on hand.

I purchased this capacitor as an in-place replacement for the old GE part #97F9834 and it was a breeze to install. The geometry is exactly right and it works as expected. The shipping time was longer as it ships from the US but the price and the quality (I hope) were worth the wait. For such a price I am willing to keep another capacitor on the shelf just in case of an urgent need.

Our AC went and for about 2 weeks I tried looking for this part in the closest cities. Every hvac guy said they’d have to install so my husband and I watched a lot of YouTube videos and came down to the conclusion it was this part we needed to replace. Took my husband 5 mins to hook it up and boom our ac works. Just in time for the 37 degree heat wave that was forecasted for that weekend!
