This is the only high-quality brown mascara option I could find, and I'm pretty happy with it. The color is a nice brown, not red like some people have reported having trouble with in other brown mascaras. The formula is aptly named, as I haven't seen a single clump yet, and it goes on very smoothly and easily, without sticking my lashes together. I'm coming from the Wet N Wild mega length formula which is by far my favorite for how long it makes my short lahes, but as they only make it in Very Black, this works instead. I've tried using that wand in this formula and that works, but obviously more of a pain. This seems waterproof, but is also very easy to remove with a cotton round and eye makeup remover. I haven't noticed any smudging. Overall, I wish this brand had more formulas in a brown color, especially for how pricy it is, but I'm pretty happy with this. It's definitely not as startling and unnatural looking on me, a natural blonde, as a very black color.

Brown color is a bit more subtle and a nice change from black. Goes on easily. Very natural looking. Layers well. Holds up for a long day! Recommended.

I did not realize when I placed my order that there is both a water-resistant version as well as a non-water-resistant version of this product in packaging that looks IDENTICLE. The money required to exchange it is not worth it, so I will keep it. Good thing it wasn't meant for a gift, because it looks like it has been through a war.

I have relatively long lashes, so I am always on the hunt for a great mascara that doesn't clump. Most mascaras are formulated to lengthen which on my already long lashes just makes a bulky chunky mess. My favorite separating mascara of all time is Buxom, but it runs $20 a tube and I can only find it at Sephora. Recently I was out and did not want to make a trip to the mall to pick up a new tube. I was loading my Pantry box and saw the Cover Girl coupon. I decided to try this based on mostly favorable reviews. Much to my surprise I really like this mascara. It doesn't dry too quickly allowing me to build up multiple layers for more depth. It doesn't flake and it lasts all day. My only negative comment is with regards to the handle. It's bulky and oddly shaped which makes it difficult to hold. It's a bit slippery even. It took me several days to figure out how to hold it without dropping the whole wand or knocking it into the side of my eye. I finally figured it out and it's been my daily go to mascara ever since. Saving me money and a trip to the mall is priceless. I will definitely be replacing it once this tube is gone.I can't speak to the waterproof claim since it isn't pool season, but it seems to hold up well and requires a good quality make-up remover to get off. Thus I am expecting great things from it come pool season.
