Jewels That Made History: 101 Stones, Myths, and Legends Review: The Best Jewelry Stories Well Told - Stellene Volandes, editor-in-chief of Town & Country magazine, uses her exceptional storytelling and depth of knowledge to create a fascinating and unique survey of jewelry history. Curated to perfection, her selection of the 100 most interesting points in the jewelry history are an advanced introduction to the fashions, tastemakers, and innovations that have brought us to today. Some of the defining moments that fascinated me are the story of the first engagement ring in history, the earliest surviving British crown, and the famous first “a diamond is forever” advertisement, but the real treat was the mind-blowing story of the gold-plated ping-pong ball that is actually a part of King Charles’ Prince of Wales coronet. I recommend this book for anyone that wants a broad and digestible synopsis of jewelry history that can serve as an invitation to dive deeper into the fascinating world of jewelry history. As such, it would be a perfect addition to the library of anyone interested in the history of jewelry. Review: Great Book - This book is so fun. I love this book with all the interesting stories and the pictures are great. Great book.

Great addition to my coffee table
This is the second book that I have bought from this author. This book is smaller in size and has a beautiful bold green cover. The history of the jewelry is so interesting - makes me wonder what it was like for the women who wore it at the time...and now. The photographs are breathtaking and dreamy. Great addition to my coffee table books. Highly recommend.

LOVE this!
I bought this for a gift and kept it for myself! No shame. Pour yourself some wine and read about jewelry. Nothing better unless you were to add a cat in your lap at the same time!

If you love jewelry this is a must have book for your jewelry library. If you know of someone who loves jewelry this is hands down the perfect gift for a jewelry lover.

The book is ok so far, but only for people who are rather new to the topic. Texts on the thin side, one picture per jewel only - in other words: Had I had the possibility of browsing through the physical book I woud'nt have bought it.
