Potato Flakes, 16oz (Pack of 4) - Non GMO, Vegan, Kosher

Versatile food. Resealable bag. Easy to make. Quick. Quality. Good taste. Ingredients are just potato flakes. I wish they were organic, but at least they are non-GMO. For more flavor I sometimes like to use different broths instead of water to make this (like organic mushroom broth). Tastes great. - Sometimes I have my local health food store order them for me because the 1lb. bag is only $4.19 there. (Can't beat that price!) - I also sometimes make vegan "cheesy" mashed potatoes with these. Tastes AMAZING!!! [All you do for that is to make the potatoes according to the directions (boil a Cup of water, stir in 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1 Cup potato flakes), but instead of boiling just water alone, you add a big scoop (maybe about 1/3 Cup or so, or to taste) of "vegan cheddar sauce" in with the water and boil it (keep stirring so it dissolves and mixes evenly). The "vegan cheddar sauce" I used is an adaptation of Serene Allison's recipe from "Rejuvenate Your Life". [RECIPE: 1/2 large red bell pepper, 1/4 Cup water, 1 Cup cashews, 1 Tablespoon tahini, 2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast, 1&1/2 teaspoons (fine) Celtic sea salt, 2 teaspoons onion powder, 1 clove garlic, 2 Tablespoons lemon juice. Blend on high until completely mixed and smooth. (Keep this stored sealed in the fridge.) Note: For best results use raw & organic ingredients. ] Enjoy!!!

I will NEVER make mashed potatoes the old school way again. And I'm from the deep south where my grandma is rolling in her grave reading this. These are FANTASTIC. They take minutes to make and since they are made from Russet potatoes, they taste fresh and homemade. You can easily change the consistency, too. Seriously, these have made my life easier and we can have mashed potatoes whenever we want because they take less time than making garlic bread in the oven. I am so happy about these.

These are excellent! You need to add more flakes than the recipe on the package calls for but it makes fluffy and yummy mashed potatoes. I’ll probably never use fresh potatoes again. These are better, easier, and less mess.

I always bought these in a lesser quantity from Whole Foods until they discontinued the product. Normally I prefer whole potatoes however these do a better job of establishing consistency in something like a Senate Bean Soup from scratch on a cold evening. You don’t even realize they are in a soup but you love the texture of the soup.

Love this product. It has only potato flakes. It makes up well following the package directions. It tastes very close to fresh mashed potatoes. I have also added it to soups. This last purchase was disappointing. I ordered a 4 pack for my pantry. When the box arrived I saw the bob's logo and just added to the pantry since I already had a pouch opened. I recently went open the box and found it is not potato flakes but a cereal that I can not eat do to it containing oats. So open your package and check it before storing. Its past the return date now so I am left with potatoes and a product I can not use.

These potato flakes are a great base for making instant mashed potatoe that are silky & taste like potatoes. Other 'instant mashed potato' products have additives/chemicals. I have many food sensitivities so need products without flavorings or additives. Bob's Red Mill products allow me to start with a pure ingredient to which I can add herbs, spices, oils, & flavorings that are safe for me.

This box of four bags could last a person at least a year, depending on speed of use. I have always found them to be super easy to prepare, appreciate their lack of dodgy ingredients, and like their recloseable bag as opposed to a possibly leaky cardboard box. They are part of a fast meal when i don't feel like being fancy, like a hot roast beef sandwich with gravy. They also can thicken soups or stews if that's what you're looking for. I haven't tried making them into fried mashed potato patties but that is something to try in the future.

Bob's Red Mill products are a great addition to pantry. The potato flakes are great for sauces too watery. The potato flour works great for thickening hot recipes. Have ordered for years.

The best potato flakes I have tried so far. They are great when you do not have time to make homemade. They taste like real potatoes.
