We foster animals for the SPCA and Humane Society. Many times the pet carriers we are provided have mismatched or missing fasteners. These make a perfect fit for the medium sized carriers, and are used to replace all of fasteners. There is always more ways to help.

Check measurements before purchasing. These vary from cage to cage.

It’s amazing how those little things disappear when you have taken carrier apart to save space when not using. They are much more satisfactory to use than nuts and bolts from the hardware store, no tools needed.

Great replacement bolts for crate. (Will continue to use zip ties on one side until potty training is complete.) Glad to have the bolts ready.

I volunteer for a cat rescue so I go through a lot of these bolts fixing donated carriers. These work quite well, but they are expensive. I have found that using a size 10 machine bolt and a wiz nut work just as well and a lot less expensive. The wiz nuts fit tightly and are not easily removed with your fingers (though it is not a lock-nut). Wiz nuts work better for carriers than wing nuts. Your local Ace Hardware or Fastenal carries the bolts and wiz nuts. If you rely on the plastic nuts (in this Amazon product) to easily unscrew the top part of your carrier (if your pet is hard to remove from door of the carrier at the vet), then you'll want to stick with this product with the plastic nuts that can easily be removed by hand (the wiz nuts work well, but not if you want to remove the lid each time you take your pet to the vet).

Perfect size for my doggie airline crate. Easy to install, solid quality, inexpensive. They worked great!

Having lost some of the original crate fasteners during moves and storage, I decided to replace all the fasteners with this style. Some of the older crates have this style fastener instead of the attached knobs. I like the plastic fastener as it is easy on the fingers to screw on and looks nice. Plenty in the package to replace all the old fasteners and some extra to keep for the next time I lose some.
