I'm not using this for its originally intended purpose, I'm using it as a custom part on a coffee roaster.It is stainless steel, not chrome plated (good). Outside is fully polished. Inside is raw metal and not cleaned - not what you would expect. I would think it would be polished and clean on the inside where it contacts food. The tube is welded from sheet metal, you can see the weld seam on the inside but it's finished pretty well so not a big deal. No sharp edges, shape (roundness) is uniform. Bell / flare on the #12 is formed, it is not a welded on cone, so there is a smooth transition from cone to tube.

Haven't used it yet but it seems to fit my #12 meat grinder perfect!Update, used this year to process 4 deer, worked great, recommend this to anyone who grinds their deer or other meat up.

I am a hunter and process all of my own game meat. I was looking for something strong and sturdy that would fit onto my 3/4 hp LEM grinder that would last for years. It has greatly speed up the process of stuffing my burger and sausage bags. Great product and very sturdy.

We are so happy we purchased the meat grinder tube, awesome for the processing of elk and deer hamburger.
