NURI Portuguese Sardines in Spiced Olive Oil - 10 Pack - (4.4 oz cans)

This sardines are some of best I had . I mean is first class starting inside the can with the clean finish . Sardines itself are a monster how big they are, texture is firm and mild buttery,you actually feel a soft perfect texture . The oil content is perfect with all the veggies , a tasty olive oil by the way with a less then mild spiced flavor. Also the nutritional area have a big difference if you compare both brands.This are more expensive than wild planet which I also eat, but after tasting this sardines I think is worth every pennie if you are into eating prime sardines for adding to a healthy diet routine like the one I have . can compare the difference in the pictures wild planet is processed in Thailand and Nuri Portugal origin and the size, texture and flavor in my opinion is far better then the WP. thanks .P.S the nutritional content on the page is not accurate to the original package from Portugal .

My family loves these and while you can find them now in some stores we find it easier to order from Amazon. Excellent quality, taste and packaging. High quality fish, oil and minimal seasonings. Beautiful too!

I had one can a week as I typically eat lots of other canned fish but had to restrict myself on these simply because of the price. Hand packed is definitely a step up (though at times could be viewed as an extraneous unnecessary cost) but I can't help but think that most of the cost of the product is the fancy wrapping, which at the end of the day is nothing more than some paper and plastic with the ubiquitous metal tin can holding the contents which we all seek.The contents always matter more than the outer surface, but some are drawn to the sparkly lights and these definitely do not disappoint but there is another brand just as good in my opinion which has been going up lately in price and popularity.

I've been trying a lot of sardine brands available here on Amazon, and constantly see good reviews for NURI, so I decided to give them a shot. They're a bit more expensive than some other brands but I believe that the value is there.The quality of the sardines themselves is clear. Nice firm texture, delicious flesh, not mushy. The oil seems decent as well.Downside for me is the spice flavor. Heavy on the warm spice notes (there was a whole clove in the can), light on the spiciness. It tastes good at first, but I got tired of the aroma a few bites in. Furthermore, it limits applications for these sardines other than eating them straight out of the can. I've removed a star for that; next time I buy from this brand -- which I certainly will -- I'll go for unflavored instead.All in all a very good product, with slight reservations!
