Schwarzkopf Igora Royal Highlifts Permanent Color Creme (12-2 Special Blonde Ash)

Have used this product for years. Love the colour and leaves my hair in really good condition.

I have been colouring my hair for a long time. I used to use bleach, but my hair suffered as a result of over processing. I switched to highlifts to reduce damage. I had been using 12-1, but was finding I still had a lot of warm almost orange undertones. I did some research and found that the 12-2 has more indigo pigment in, which is better for counteracting against orange. I tried this yesterday. Before I used this colour, I had random darker/warmer patches and some really light almost white blonde patches. I didn’t think this would help, or it would make the white patches turn blue or grey. However, when I rinsed this out my colour was now a lovely light ash blonde. It looks a lot more natural and the colour isn’t patchy. I will be buying more.

My hair was a mess, grown out highlights, mixture if medium brown natural hair colour mixed with grey at the roots 1 inch and another 2 inches of dark blonde from an old roots smudge I did and always do when I have highlights. Then the rest bleached highlights. It was stripey and with my hairdresser out of action I decided to try and blend it through with this colour. I have done this before with a silver grey colour so not my first time experimenting. I mixed this colour with Igora 20 vol developer. Their website recommends their developer oil but I didn't have any. I did a test piece on the underneath to make sure I didn't go bright orange. My final result (full head) was lovely light ash blonde on my highlights with a slightly darker blonde, I'd say medium blonde on my roots. It has blended the stripes out nicely. My roots and brown lengths do have a hue in some lights of a light coppery tone but this was expected and is acceptable to me. Its a lot to ask of a hair colour, brown shade 6, to become a true light blonde. The ash in this colour is the saviour. My hair looks 10 times better and I'll use it again over full highlights when they don't lift as well as I like or are getting brassy. My hair doesn't feel dried out either, I did do a 20min conditioner treat after though so has helped. I hope this helps and my advice is to mix a bit and do a test piece to make sure your happy with the colour.

I used igora 12-2 for the first time with 20 volume on my dark brown hair. I am alergic to bleach and I don't like 30 volume (sensitive scalp). My natural colour is between level 3 and 4 and really happy how much it lifted. It has some warmth, but is how I generally like. I just used some purple shampoo after

After colouring my hair with various shades of ash and them all eventually going a gingery blonde I did some research and came upon this igora royal tint and I have to say what an excellent find it was. I highlighted my hair( which is a combination of bleach and tint) with it and it has toned my hair to a lovely light/medium ash blonde, ginger be gone!

I have used this particular shade for years now and really happy with it. Arrived in good time and was packaged well.
