Motion Pro Spark Plug Gap Tool

More of a bottle opener than gap tool but still kinda cool.Good stocking stuffer.

I keep this little sucker in my boat box for when I clean and reset fowled plugs. It is excellent: light weight and saves space. I checked the accuracy on my micrometer - dead on. Does a good job of adjusting the gap too. Don't worry about it being aluminum. The metered slots are only for "feeling" the gap. Resetting is done at the key-ring hole.

Useful tool, which I have found essential to working on both my vehicle and motorcycle. The design is both well-engineered with spark plug gap and a ring which enables you to attach this tool to a key ring, or use it to open a bottle. The only reason for marking it down one star, is the fact it is constructed out of aluminum, rather than steel. For measuring gap, this is likely to wear down within a short period of time, resulting in false reading (too large a gap). Luckily, this wear would become evident as the blue anodize finish would wear off.

Great little gapping tool that fits perfectly on my key ring................self contained and easy to use. Can't remember the number of times I was away from home and my tool box, and plugs in one my gasoline tools needed regapping. Covers all the plug gaps that I need from .02 to ,04 inches. The fact that it is in mm is not a problem for me, but others should know the English/metric conversion if they want a gap in decimal inches (I have a sticker on each of my gasoline tools where I have the SP gap in mm and inches written so I don't have to look up the proper gap or convert.).

I haven't had the chance to use this yet, but it's a quality build. I checked the accuracy of it with my micrometer. It was almost exactly on. Definitely better than the quarter design devices.
