Purchased aggravation and noisy fan
First fan came from Amazon, was installed by licensed electrician. The fan emitted a horrific high pitched headache inducing whine. Contacted Hunter, tech said it was motor and would send me out another immediately and to return the other. Returned the other in replacement fan which came promptly. Electrician came to install the replacement fan and it was worse than the first added an annoying click to the whine. Called hunter while electrician tried to make noises go away, nothing worked so Hunter tech said send it back and we will send you a replacement of different style. A week and some days have gone by and no new fan, no tracking number for a new fan. I have a fan that is useless without a box to send back to Amazon, so I'm out the cost of fan and 2 electrician charges. My next step is to call Amazon and complain about the product and the company.

loud humming noise
the fan is very nice looking but loud. It has a loud humming noise even on low. Checked all the reasons listed online as to why it could be making this noise but still has a loud hum. I wouldn't recommend this fan.

Big and bulky
Much bulkier then they look in the photos. Would not have purchased these if I had seen them in person first. Electrician already installed in my new house so I guess we will live with them for a while. Plus they do make a slight sound. Honestly if you are looking for a quiet and sleek fan that you do not want as the focal point of your room, do not buy. I would not buy again.

Absolutely quiet.
I bought this to replace an older fan which had developed a loud hum. I have installed at least 20 Hunter ceiling fans over the years, and just like all the rest of them, this one came with clear instructions, all the necessary parts, and operates almost silently. Another winner from Hunter.

Very nice fan!
This is a lovely, quiet fan. The light fixture was difficult to put on!

Total garbage
I expected much more from a Hunter Douglas ceiling fan! The light is dim and the fan is ridiculously loud - unusable. Wish I could return. Total garbage.
