Must have for Any Artist at Any Skill Level!
Great companion workbook to go along with his book of the same name "Steal like an Artist." I got two copies of this for both my husband and I to get out creative juices flowing! Great way to start a creative session when you're feeling a bit stuck or out of ideas. I find it best to just turn to a random page and go from there.

Bought to accompany book of same name
The concept is like the wreak you journal series. However this is catered towards creative souls. Easy to read. Fun and though provoking to get over artists block. Would recommend.

Good for artist
This journal has a lot of good prompts in it. However, it doesn't just have art prompts, it also has writing prompts. Luckily I do like to write, but I was expecting something specifically for artist (of course writing is an art, but I'm sure you know what I mean).

I read (and loved) both STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST and SHOW YOUR WORK
Earlier this year, I read (and loved) both STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST and SHOW YOUR WORK, so when Austin Kleon announced that he was creating a journal to help others think more creatively and apply some of his techniques to their own work, I immediately pre-ordered it.When it came, I started paging through it. Some pages practically begged to be filled in immediately (captions for triangles and circles, tip jar wars), whereas others will require more time and thought (write fan mail to whom? what title would I like to steal to write my own story with?). In fact, I loved the book so much I immediately ordered another copy to give my son.Highly recommend this for anyone who wants to try to capture some creative thoughts and isn't quite sure how, or even someone who already keeps a journal but would like some external prompts to think in different directions occasionally.

but I love Austin Kleon's weekly newsletter that comes out every Friday ...
I have barely just started this book, but I love Austin Kleon's weekly newsletter that comes out every Friday and his book, Steal Like An Artist (I think it was his first book). The exercises may seem simple, but they really make you think and your brain keeps thinking more creatively because it has been stimulated to have some fun. He has really opened up my world to the point where I am learning Spanish in a palatable way (versus an overwhelming way). My Spanish technique has nothing to do with his book, but because of his books and his newsletter, I am now thinking so much more outside of the box! Thanks, Austin.

The perfect complement to Austin Kleon's other work
.Just love this book. The rest is just gushing...I've liked this guy's work since finding Newspaper Blackout, but then went complete fan-boy when Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative and Show Your Work!: 10 Ways to Share Your Creativity and Get Discovered were released. This journal is the perfect complement to the work that came before and does a wonderful job of immersing you in the process. Forcing you into the role of participant rather than observer. You only get the full value from this book by putting the ideas into action from its predecessors. The perfect gift would be a bundling this book with Steal Like and Artist and Show Your Work (and a few of these...Sharpie Fine Point Black Pens (1742663).

I love this journal
I love this journal. So many ideas to get the creative juices flowing. I took up a regular collage habit after the exercise where you pull things from your trash and make a collage. I also loved the exercise where I cut up my old writing and pasted into a new poem/story. I’ve incorporated my cut up hand written words into my collages now. Fun book you can carry with you and play with anytime. You really don’t even have to be artistically inclined to enjoy this play book. Your brain will appreciate the alternative to looking at the internet:)
